We were bought the hire of Reggie/Daisy as a gift. All of the info supplied before hire was excellent, info at pick up was very thorough, the lady @ Southampton clearly loves the vans and knows them very well. Vans well equipped, spotless and easy to navigate around inside - really helpful booklet with all the info you need too. Authentic VW drive, takes a while to get used to the gears but we are totally hooked. No air-con so can get a bit hot for the dog. We will be hiring again. Great company, really friendly staff.

We rented a VW van for 5 days and had a lovely time, great to drive with, loads of room, we were not cold at night while sleeping in it(which we were a little worried about prior the rental!) and quite fun to move around in. Not very confortable to sleep in but that's only because we're not that young anymore!

I find it really difficult to put into words just how fantastic this weekend was. Everything about the company is exceptional. Not only do you receive a friendly service but you get the chance to experience the awesome Campervan. The dedication to providing support to the customer is outstanding and we were given a thorough introduction to the camper & advice about this new driving experience. This opportunity has changed our camping outlook, I can safely say we will always plan to hire a Campervan for weekends away and hopefully for longer in the future. What better way to enjoy travel, in comfort, classic style & a well equipped living environment. Thank you again to the advisor for everything we look forward to hiring again very soon.

Bertie the camper van was just perfect. Clean, comfortable and most of all loads of fun. If you want to hire a camper van this is the company to hire from.from start to finish they were fantastic. A lovely three days with dear old Ruby in glorious Dorset.

Attractive, well equipped van. Takes a little tome to get used to driving e.g. no powered steering!, and a little difficuly finding third gear, but overall enjoyable and fun.

Easy to park, and plenty of places to go without needing to travel very far. We went to Corfe for a couple of days, and then toured the new forest. Delightful.

Sleeping arrangements fine and comfortable - no problems.

Overall - a great time.

Excellent service. The camper van was in pristine condition and in terms of the equipment provided, everything had been thought of and provided - even down to a fan heater (crucial for April camping). The staff were great and very helpful (even delivering a new cool box to us at the campsite when our fridge broke). They have loads of addiitional equipment you can hire and its all very easy for the novice camper. Would definitely do this again and would go back to VW Camper van hire.

For a classic campervan feel with modern amenities, VW Camper Hire are the best.

All the controls and functions of the bed, cooker, fridge etc are fully explained and you are given a folder with all the information you need, including a contact mobile number in case you have problems. There is even a list of petrol stations at Southampton to fill up on the way back.

We had a great long weekend in Bertie the campervan. Pick-up from the Southampton base was easy (once we found the place!) and off we went. Bertie was very well equipped, with everything you could need for a long weekend of camper-vanning. There was even a little heater to keep us warm during the cold February nights.

We certainly got a lot of friendly atttention when parked up - everyone loves a VW camper and wanted to come over and chat!

I would recommend VW Camper Hire - friendly and helpful staff, and a great vehicle, perfect for cruising the New Forest and south coast.

It's offical, we are mad. We hired Gertie for the weekend between Christmas and New Year... and loved it. We got in touch with VW Campervan Hire as we are interested in buying a VW camper ourselves and wanted to "try before you buy"!! The service we received from start to finish was excellent. We arranged to meet them to preview a couple of the vans before we booked. He was very helpful and his knowledge and has been invaluable to us in our quest to buy our own. Gertie was an absolute joy. Extremely well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We certainly got some attention on our travels. We didn't go too far, spending three days in the New Forest. A brilliant experience which we hope to have many more of, maybe in slightly warmer conditions. We are definitely hooked! Roll on the summer :)

We had Ruby for a long weekend at the Goodwood Revival. We had such fun driving it down there, we got lots of waves and looks and at the campsite we had a number of people come and look inside and comment on how well refurbished it was. Ruby looks great from the outside, she was easy to drive, extremely well equipped so what we had to pack was minimal. She was very comfortable to sleep in and with the high rise roof was great for staying overnight in, we had lots of space and is was great to have a fridge and cooker, made a very yummy cooked breakfast one morning. Great use of cubby holes which meant we had lots of place to put stuff. We will definitely be using this company again, hand over was easy and staff incredibly helpful. Website is great and very easy to use!
