Opel mokka electric &top rent a car

I’m extremely satisfied with the service from Top Rent-a-Car! I rented an electric Opel Mokka, and everything from start to finish was top-level. The service at the office was fast, well-organized, and professional – the paperwork was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The car itself was in perfect condition – driving the electric Opel Mokka was a unique experience: smooth, quiet, and responsive. I definitely recommend Top Rent-a-Car, and I’d gladly use their services again!

Still the best place to rent in Sofia and Bulgaria...but not without glitches

Having rented cars for 10+ times with the company over the past years, TRaC is still the most rational choice to rent from in Sofia and Bulgaria. Vehicle met expectations ss quality comfort and as stated. Another positive TRaC switched to e-documents that made the check-out process much smoother. Still a few glitches do exist: the corporate lot is Sofia (near airport) has odd access, and barely paved. Needs more personnel - 90% bookings are pre-booked, there should be no surprises how many shows every 1-2hr period every day from the airport. Alas continues to be a problem - onsite personnel is getting over-worked and people are delayed regularly ~1hr from their original bookings just due to processing of swarm of customers. When you had a long flight - this is exponentially worse for clients than stolen time off the contract time. Therefore, I find trying to fix anything through their contact center (car extensions and related) much more pleasant experience. Car glitches - latest thing that surprised me is quality of the window washer fluid! With all bugs and pollen, putting low-quality diluted one (or may be even water) affecting my long-trips with needed to car-wash the vehichle frequently. Only near the end when I rant out of it, and loaded summer washed fluid, it turned out the source of the original problem. Such a small thing but really pisses me off. Shame on toy TRaC maintenance team - to cheap out on something so simple!!!

Thank you for your feedback. We take every customer case seriously, and after a detailed review of your reservation, we must clarify the following:

The booking was cancelled due to non-compliance with the Terms and Conditions of the rental service. Specifically, the cardholder was not present at the time of pick-up, which is a mandatory requirement not only under our internal policies but also under Bulgarian legislation. According to the legal framework in Bulgaria, it is strictly prohibited to block a security deposit on a payment card without the physical presence of the cardholder. This regulation exists to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with financial security protocols. We, as a licensed company, have no authority to bypass or make exceptions to national law.

Moreover, as outlined in Clause 5.1 of our Terms and Conditions, reservations cancelled less than 72 hours prior to the start date are subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of the total rental cost, but not less than the value of one rental day. These terms are transparent and publicly available.

Regarding your remarks about our team’s professionalism, we have found no record of any communication between you and our senior management. The colleague who handled your case followed both company protocol and legal requirements. Our management team consists of experienced professionals with proven track records in the fields of car rental operations and customer service. All team members are trained to provide accurate and lawful information at every stage of the rental process.

While we understand your frustration, the responsibility for ensuring that all rental requirements are met prior to the pick-up lies with the customer.

Top Rent A Car operates under strict compliance with both internal standards and the legal obligations of the Republic of Bulgaria. We do not and cannot make exceptions that would breach this compliance.

Operation 7 x 24 hours

Excellent service, opeates 24 hours 7 days, which is not a common for Car rental companies. Rented car was in a good condition. I was provided Customer cards for 3 different petrol stations, which enabled a discuount when filling fuel.
