Poor Service

Extremely poor service from a very hostile attendant. I have been a long standing client of Sixt and spent over 200K with them over the past couple of years in rentals. They really let me down today. Likely an isolated event but everyone please be careful of renting at Milan.

Fooled! Get Smaller Car For Doublet Price!!

They fooled me..Double price smaller car! I ordered car in Tenerefe for two weeks. After i came to take car they suguested bigger car for double price. Cause we where five i agreed if its gonna be for SURE BIGGER CAR. Price for suguested car almous double BUT BUT BUT it was not bigger it was even smaller !!! I told them that car is smaller, but they forsured me that i'm wrong and i should enjoy bigger car.I was short on time and agreed, but later i sompared carsizes. Instead WV KADJAR i get JEEP COMPASS - smaller car for double price. So i was fooled by thems agent, and later on they was not willing to take guilty on them... so its my problem. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Oh.. by the way, i was trying to solv this question for friendly way , they stay cool and indifferent. In the end i get tiny humiliating discount. So summary - for car(WV Kadjar) payed 400EU and than payed extra 600 EU for "bigger car"(JEEP Compass) and was discounted 25 EU. I have rented car in almost every rental services and my rewiev to SIXT -  thats gonna cost to YOU not to them. Caring av customer 1/10.

Simply The Worse Car Company On The Planet

having arrived at Dublin airport I went to the SIXT desk when I got to the desk I gave the man my documents it was meted with a groan I said what up he replied you have paid with a debit card we do not except them I paid £80 for a 3 day hire. He then said I had to pay a insurance levy I said go on he said £85.02 I replied that's a rip off he then said if I did not pay I could not have the car .I had no choice but to pay. I asked to see the person in charge I was told he is not available.

Sixt Car Rental At Manchester Airport

I returned our rental car to Sixt on Oct 13 2018 and the receiving agent told me that there was a minor scratch (which I was not aware of) but that there would be no charge. 5 months later on March 13 2019 I received a monetary charge for the scratch for pounds 589.19. The Inspection had been carried out on March 11 2019 by a body shop in Ipswich in Essex. 3 separate lawyers told me not to pay anything since the monetary advice arrived outside the 90 day limit required by my insurance. I finally agreed to pay euro 350 to Sixt's collection agency in Coburg in Germany (Sixt is a German company). I was also told that a "Desk Top" evaluation of the scratch had been carried out shortly after I returned the car but I was never advised of any monetary amount.

I highly recommend that nobody reading this should rent from Sixt. Obviously the minor damage was never repaired and the car was rented out multiple times during the interim 5 months.

Horrible Company!!!!!!

In September, 2017 my son rented a car from their Orlando location. He was unable to return it on the designated date because their office was CLOSED due to Hurricane Irma. The nearest open airport with a Sixt office was Atlanta so he returned it there. He was charged over $300 for returning the car out of state. Calls and letters to their customer service center and head of US Operations basically told us "Too Bad". We will NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN!!! And we travel a lot!

No Compassion By Agent

I had to change my reservation due to my father un-expectantly passing away. The on-line app I used was "Rentalcars.com" which linked me to Sixt car rental. They gave me a confirmation from May 5th, 2017 to May 15th, 2017. When I picked up the car they still had my old reservation for May 10th - May 15th, no biggie so they charged me for the extra days which is expected. What was so awful was on Mothers Day May 14th I get a call from a agent informing me that my rental was overdue. When I explained I had to move it up due to the un-expected death of my father and that my booking confirmation clearly stated May 15th return date (which had never changed) she basically called me a liar and told me I had to show the confirmation to avoid additional charges. She not once offered her condolences for what we were dealing with and was very rude on the phone. I will not be renting from them again and I sure wish and hope that they remove her from customer service and place her in some role where she has no contact with any human being.

What A Rip Off

I will NEVER EVER rent a car from Sixt again. First the car rental is not at the airport. OK no biggie they had a shuttle that took us to the rental place about 2-3 miles away. The driver was pleasant. We had to wait on a long, slow line just to get the car even though the paperwork said just "scan and go". One hour later we were finally on the road. The car was nice and it was clean. When we discussed the return of the car, the Sixt representative told us that if we agree to pay $1.90 per gal. for gas we did not have to return it full. Seemed liked a good deal however what he never told us was that no matter how much gas was in the tank we would have to pay for the full fill-up of 20 gallons or so. We returned the car 3/4 full and were charged $38 for a 1/4 tank of gas.(If you didn't agree to that it would cost $8 per gal. to fill it up). I got home, get an email of the charges and what they fail to tell you, that pleasant little shuttle ride cost us $25, there were all these taxes and fees. What we were told would run us about $212 wind up costing us over $320. I BET THEY WON'T SHOW THIS REVIEW. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM SIXT AGAIN....

The car is not at DFW nor returned to DFW like promised. Best Western at Euless TX is where the driver takes you for your vehicle. You must also return to that location. There also is no agreement that if you thought you were returning the car to the airport or able to leave at your hotel if within 5 miles of the airport as booking indicates. Did you see in your booking there will be a security deposit of$200? It is in your contract when you accept your rental. The change oil light was on this rental and there was no other car to choose from at the hotel. No toll transmitter. Don't trust the promise that you can use Uber if your don't want to wait for the shuttle that only runs once per hour from the shuttle. The calls and contacts after taking the car don't exsist .

Very Good Car

very nice and comfortable car.Just a problem when I tried to start the car to go and catch my flight no battery .I certainly forgot to turn the headlights off but I heard no beep warning sound and saw no lights when I walked out of the car the day before.the people at the hotel didn't see anything either.But the sixt staff were very fast and provided us with another car so we got tothe airport on time. thank you to them and sorry if I was a bit edgy.

Sixt Will Cheat You Any Time They Can

I have rented with Sixt a couple of times, I put the first in Slovenia down to a one off experience and then I rented again in the USA and had a worse experience there. The car given was not as described and could never have carried the amount of people and luggage claimed. The tried to push us into buying a road toll transponder which was not necessary and was three times what other rental companies charge. All their marketing portrays them as renting high quality cars but they will give you a poor car if you dont buy their extras.
