I Felt Like I Had To Take The Car Because The Owne

I felt like I had to take the car because the owner had my credit card details and told me that it would be debited as the car had been booked.

When I suggested that he could be a bit friendlier I was told that he "did not have to bow down to me", as that was not part of the contract, and that it was myself that had an attitude problem.

Would certainly not recommend

We Booked A Small Car From Seq Metro On The Web. W

We booked a small car from SEQ Metro on the web. When we collected the car, it was badly hail damaged, had a crack in the windscreen, and appeared not to be vacuumed. It was also missing the "curtain" that covers the luggage compartment, allowing anything stored there to be visible from outside the car (= theft). The "meet and greet" person was late, and was rude when she DID arrive.

We drove the car to northern NSW, and found that the wiper blades needed replacing, and that the car was so low on oil that it required a 3L top-up before returning (it was NOT leaking oil, so i think it was just badly serviced).

When we complained about the car's condition, the operator was rude and told that we shouldn't have driven the car outside a 250km radius of Brisbane anyway ("as shown on the rental agreement" they said). "Hah", we thought, there was nothing in the terms and conditions about a 250km radius shown on their website, and no indication on their booking confirmation Email.... We were surprised to find that the fine print on the back of the rental agreement thrust into our hands by the rude "greeter" did stipulate 250km, even though it also stated "unlimited km". OK, we should have read the agreement, but we booked the car on the basis of information shown on their website! Bet they would have hit us with a cancellation fee if we HAD read the agreement and not taken the car because we couldn't take it where we had planned!! Needless to say we have NOT been reimbursed for the engine oil!

I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole again!
