Hopeless
Booked a car rental through Rentadent Christchurch, NZ. Pickup of car was booked for 20th February, 2017. Due to family illness we had to change things, so rang them on the 17th Feb to cancel, and after checking was told that the credit card will not be charged. Yet it was. On the 19th Feb - the day before the actual booking. Rentadent rang on the 20th asking where we were and if we still needed the rental, but I had to tell him we had already cancelled a few days earlier, but he was not aware of it been cancelled. After several calls to the rentadent car rental in Christchurch, they are refusing to refund the money as the T&C's of cancellation were not adhered to. But that's not the worrying thing. Why would they charge the money the day before? That doesn't seem to be in the T&C's. And to add even more disappointment, the owners of the business, would have to be some of the most unhelpful, uncooperative, rude and ignorant people I have ever come across in a service-type industry. I strongly urge anyone, singles, couples, groups, businesses/corporates anyone wanting to rent a vehicle in Christchurch, NZ to avoid rentadent. With no conception of customer service - or even how to talk to people - I struggle to fathom how and why they are trading. Spend your hard earned travel money on an alternative rental car business as rentadent Christchurch have only one thing on their minds - money. And, in some cases such as ours, taking peoples money with no intention of returning it.
