Great Service

We used Panavia Car Rentals on our latest trip and found them to be our best choice.

We had been offered other vehicle from other companies, most with additional costs (hidden). Panavia were clear from the start that we were covered for breakdown, full insurance and unlimited mileage .

I was given plenty of opportunity to inspect the vehicle, as it was identified to me the day of the booking, as we were picking up the following day. Pictures were taken and logged with the company and I was also given a copy of my own.

We hired a small Peugeot 108, with an open top and toured the island hassle free and after five days of hire, returned this economical beauty back fully refuelled and presented the receipt as further evidence.

I would not hesitate to use these guys again. Located opposite the SWEET HOME bar/restaurant, they also stand out with a bright yellow flag outside of the office.

They Are A Total Joke, Do Not Rent From Them!

Ordered a car online three weeks in advance, arrived to Crete, visited Pranavia office close to Esperideds hotel, and asked for the car -> unfortunately it was not beneficial for them to rent the car to me as the prices went up, they just refunded the money and left me without the car. My vacation plans had to be readjusted. The company is real joke.

Do Not Rent Here!!

BEWARE: Do not rent a car here!!!

We wanted to rent a car for two days and compared several companies (7!). We asked for the price for two days and explicitly asked for the all inclusive price without any extra costs to the lady that lured us in. She explained that it would be 70euros for a toyota aygo and 80 for a more luxurious model as shown on the pictures behind her. This would be a third or fourth generation skoda fabia. We agreed on the more luxurious model and once again aked if this would be the total price and payed them. The moring of collecting the car we were nicely picked up at our hotel but once we arrived the male emplyee told us that we had to pay 20 euros for the taxes with a nonsus story of canallations and non refundable taxes. We told him that we already payed and that this was the all inclusive price according to the lady, but we had to pay otherwise we would not get the car that we already payed for (80), therefore we decided to pay(+20). We then saw the car that they had for us which was full of damage and a second generation fabia instead of what was shown on the picture. We again complained but the man told us it was the right one. We had planned a full day so decided to go with it. During the whole day it did not feel good, we did some research and found the other reviews here and at the end of the day we decided to go back and confront him with this. The first reaction of the lady that lured us in was deny everything she had told us and the male went on full rage and tried to intimidate us to go away. We were done with it so it got quite heated and the man threated to call the police. My boyfriend told him hed happily wait on the police (we knew he would not do this because he was tricking us). He then started to become fysical and started pushing and intimidating my boyfriend. When he noticed that he was not able to scare us off it got to the point that he wanted the car back so we would not get to rent it for the second day and he would give us 50 euros back.

Once we agreed on this he calmed down and tried to get out of the situation with some flyer that we had never seen where in some small letters it was mentioned that the taxes were not included, which is offcourse nonsense. Please learn from our experience, we normally always check reviews but forgot to do it this time and well, we can say that we regret that.

On their website it also states all prices have VAT (tax) INCLUDED!! BEWARE!!

Avoid These Cheaters!

Price in folder was 30euro, when we ask for a car this was 75 per day.

When we came to get a car it was also 35 euro extra for some taxes. We have to gat this car becouse we have plans…

After two days they told us about some scratch that we didn’t make and didnt noticed earlier. It costs extra 75euro!!

Its a cheater company, avoid them, get a car by your reception in hotel!!!

so, they lie about it, prices remain the same...

I Was Silly Enough Not To Read Any Internet Review

I was silly enough not to read any internet reviews in advance, which was a big mistake, because I experienced the same story as the other contributors describe. Completely identical script. I came across this guy in the street in front of their office and negotiated a price that seemed to be good. I asked (twice!) if full insurance was included and was assured it was. I said we wanted a small lively car and he gave me 2 offers both of which we agreed with. He said there was a deposit to be paid and the car was supposed to be picked up the following day. When paying the deposit I summarized all the points of the deal once again and he confirmed them. However, when we came the next day, nothing was the way we both agreed on. The person I dealt with took us upstairs to one of the most disgusting men I have ever seen. Suddenly the full insurance was NOT included, so we were forced to pay twice as much (the deposit was non-refundable, so if we had gone elsewhere, we would have lost this money) and in addition we got a really dreadful battered jalopy with a broken rear light. I asked where was the car we agreed on - all of them were rented or booked, the guy said. There was nothing else they could offer us at that moment, he added. I didn´t sit down until I took pictures from all possible angles, because after this "educational" experience I didn´t want to risk being made responsible for all the damage. Later on I spoke about it with our receptionist and the girl said it was the usual practice of some local car rentals and even if you report them to the police, the police don´t care. I don´t know what would happen if you came equipped with some evidence like the recording of negotiating the deal. But you would waste your precious holiday time anyway, so it´s definitely better to avoid them (and similar ones) completely.

The cars advertised are totally different to what you get! The cars are all run down and battered. The list of issues goes on, i can easily write a few pages about the whole experiance but i just could not be asked, i simply want other people to stay far away from them. Our first car had no power, when i checked under the bonner the air intake pipe was taped together with a massive hole in it causing lack of power and exessive fuel usage. Told them we wanted another car and they said everything else is already booked out! The amount of time wasted and energy consumed made me realise that i will never bother renting locally again and rather pay the extra money to rent a realible car from the main car rental suppliers knowing that you are in good hands and also that their entire reputation is at hand surrounding customer reviews and ratings.

Avoid This Company !!!!

Please avoid this company. They told us we will get a c-class car ( in their scale) like toyota yaris, vw polo or seat ibiza. And what we got? Shitty,about 15 years old Peugeot 206 eith some parts broken inside. Complains did not worked because they said for this price (60€ for 2 days) it is a good deal. Unfortunately you can get for this price a new or almost new car.

If you don't want to be cheated, avoid them!!!!!!

Shady company.

The prices shown at the office seems to be very low, but at the end you pay more than at renowned companies. At the office are pictures of different cars starting at 12 Euro per day. In addition they offer an "all inclusive insurance" for 8 Euro.

We payed already in advance. At the day of the pick up we were told we have to pay additonal 7,50 Tax per day. As we noticed later VAT in Greece is only 24%. The bill we received way only for the "tax". Wheter they pay tax for the rest of the charge we don't know. The cars in the backyard are all old and seems not to be very safe. They correspond in no way to the pictures or ages of the cars shown at the office. After doing the paper work and payment of the additonal fees they tell you the "all inclusive insurance" does not include the tires. If you have a tire damage you have to bother yourseld about the repair and also pay yourself. We had to return the first car because of an faulty clutch. The already pured in fuel was not returned. The second car was in pretty bad condition too. When we returned it they wanted additional money for fuel, which completed the picture of deliberately hustle.

Summarized we can say to avoid anger and additional costs rent your car somewhere else!

Don't Even Think About Going There

We booked a jeep safari. We were with a group of 10 disabled people. When we booked there were no drivers requirerd. One of the guys had to go to the hospital and we did not get a refund. Tough luck. One day before we went on the safari, they called us and told us there must be two drivers! (Yeah sure, we can give you two disabled people!)We could not provide them and the whole trip was in danger. We called the actual guy who did the jeep safari (another company) and he aranged everything for us. So we were lucky. The custumer service lied en cheated us with everything. Before you book, you're their best friend, after you pay, they are really bad!!!!

We asked for a bill, and we didn't get any.....not even after being at the office 3 times. (always tommorow....)
