Omega Car Rental Auckland

This is the second time I have done a holiday car rental with Omega Cars and on both occasions I have been impressed with the level of service, condition of the cars and value for money.

I would highly recommend them.

I have dealt with them via e-mail & found their staff very responsive and also dealt with their staff at Auckland Airport, Auckland CBD, Wellington Airport & Christchurch Airport who have all been very friendly & helpful.

We've used Omega for seven years now and never had an issue. Their people are just so helpful and really make the effort to be friendly and accommodate any reasonable request. Even their older cars seem totally reliable and dependable which is important when you're travelling to remote places.

We think Omega are great and will use them again without hesitation. Service like this is hard to beat. Thoroughly recommended.

We were unfortunately let down by another rental company the day we were to fly out and land in Auckland. I rang Omega Rental Cars, they were able to provide my family with an affordable car at such short notice. We landed at 5:15am the car was at the airport ready for our arrival.

Great car, no problems with it at all, it was an easy drive back to Auckland to thier depot for drop off, they are located close to the airport so less stress on trying to work out times so you don't miss your flight. Fast, friendly service and shuttle back to the Airport.

I visit NZ at least twice a year and always rent from Omega Car Rentals at Auckland Airport. The staff are friendly and super efficient, the cars are always clean and ready on time. They are also extremely accommodating for any after hours drop offs or pick ups. Nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

I had taken the services for omega car rentals for my trip to new zealand between 7th- 22nd March 2015. This was by far the most terrible car rental experience I have ever had.

1. I originally had my rental a month earlier. When I had called to reschedule, I was willing to give 40% of my first booking as penalty (as per their policy) but I got charged 100 $ more because they forgot to pick up their car from the airport for 3 days and they charged me for it.

2. On the day of my arrival, at around 1 AM, I couldnt find their car in the lot. I spent the entire night at the airport since there was no way to reach out to them either. The guy at the airport said that Omega Rentals does this all the time when they forget to drop off the car at the airport. Exhausted, we ended up going to our hotel by paying 50$ for the cab service. When we did manage to talk to Omega, they said it was our fault since we hadnt emailed the contract to them. I showed them proof of the signed contract that I mail to them and said that if you had not received it why didnt you contact me. What I heard was a blantant lie saying that they just didnt receive the contract and nothing else.

3. After all this, they actually gave me a super old car (prob from the 1990's) and it turned out to be a huge gas guzzler.

I would recommend Omega to anyone ever. Just pay the extra money and go with the known players of AVIS, Hertz, etc.

Car (Nissan Sunny) was a bit dated but everything worked.

Picked up car in Christchurch, staff collected us from our hotel. Nissan was much newer and significantly better to drive.

Dropped off in Queenstown, friendly staff.

Omega offered the best price I could find for 5 days with a pickup Welleington, drop off Auckland. The late model car also handled beautifully and was fuel efficient. I changed the drop off point 2 hours before the the due time, and it was no problem to staff. All staff were courteous, helpful and friendly.

After our second rental of a car from Omega Airport Branch, we can highly recommend this company. We are a 60+ married couple from Christchurch NZ, who visited Auckland twice recently for pleasure (touring and international shows). Both hires were painless and professional. The cars were slightly older than the "big boys" but in excellent condition. The rental costs were extremely good value for money; especially if you get the all inclusive internet deals.

Pick-up and Drop-off at the airport is prompt and easy. After-hours drop-off works well and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

We will use them again later in the year for our next visit.

This is the second time I have used Omega at Auckland airport, service was excellent both via email and staff, only one slight issue is the car smelt inside, I understand that the vehicles are a bit older but it wouldn't take much to put an air freshener in.
