Booked this taxi to bring myself (pregnant lady), my husband & our 2yr old boy to the train station where we needed 2 catch a train 2 Ipswich 2 get a bus 2 airport 2 catch a flight home. Booked him a week in advance, confirmed booking 2 days before journey. We had booked it to collect us at 10am to catch at train at a station 20mins drive away that was leaving at 10:44am so we'd left plenty of time for delays. But on the morning of pick up after waiting he was 5minutes late, I rang him he said 'one of his drivers' would be there shortly, 10mins later no sign I rang again, he apologised saying driver must have got stuck in driver but he was just up the road, a further 10mins later still no sign I rang again but he wouldn't answer my calls & then he seemed 2 have turned off his phones. I was there on holidays so had no other taxi number. At this point it was 10mins away from our train time which was going from a station 20mins drive away, I tried ringing again & he answered & I explained we were going to miss our train & the next wasn't going for 2hrs which would mean we would miss our flight, he said we'll get you there & that the taxi would be there any minute as he was just around the corner, the taxi did not arrive until another 5mins later. The driver apologised & I began to give him an earful, he stopped me & explained that he did not work for the taxi driver that I had booked through & had only got the call from him 5minutes earlier. He said he would not get me to the train on time but could drive me to Ipswich for £60 (the original journey was only going to cost us £20). We had no choice but to says yes, it was the only way we would make the flight. A few moments later the original taxi driver rang our driver & was on speaker (don't think he knew this) he asked if he was taking us to Ipswich & when our driver said yes he said 'good' and told him to charge us £120 double what he had quoted. Thankfully our driver was a decent human being & only charged us £60. I'm going to give him a glowing review as he was so lovely to us during our very distressful morning, not what a pregnant woman with a toddler needed.

Please please never ever book this taxi if you want to get to your destination on time. I've since heard he over books himself constantly, works alone so has no other drivers & has 2 rely on other companies to dig him out of the holes he leaves his customers in.
