I rent a car in the Granada office the 12th of October and I returned the car the 23th of October at Jerez de la Frontera airport . At the moment of pick up Atesa required 150 Euros as caution .
We arrived at Jerez airport parking a little bit in delay in comparison with return time marked in the contract but in tolerance in according with company rules (29 minutes maximum ) . Any persons was present in the parking to receive the car ; have in mind that all the other rent companies had employed in the parking except Atesa ; we wait for 10 minutes about without results , after this I had gone to the Atesa desk inside the airport to contact the employed , this person arrived with calm in the parking to check the car and marked her arrival time in the parking as return time on the contract . I would like to underline with her that the return time was before but since she told me that was all ok and the deposit of 150 euros will be returned I have not insisted . This time difference ( 14 minutes ) permitted to Atesa company to charge me one rental day more .
An other additional cost was due to the fuel, we made the full supply the 22th of October evening after this we made 15 Km. approx before the return the car in airport , Atesa charged an extra fuel cost of 29 euros .

Excellent Service At Almeria Airport
We rented a car from Atesa at Almeria airport for 10 days through Easy car and the whole experience was superb. The gentleman who did the paperwork at the airport was extremely pleasant and helpful - unlike my past experiences with Goldstar!- and, although I had a fuel contract from full to full I was offered a full tank of diesel at a cheaper rate than garages. As I was driving a long distance I took this option. We were given a brand new Citroën C4 which had GPS as no additional charge and the car was superb. We had to leave a 150 euro deposit on a credit card when we collected the car and, as promised, this was refunded on the day after I left the car back. A superb service in every way. Goldstar take note!

I rented a car from Atesa at valencia airport in July 2014. The trouble came afterwards when i had to have the car towed after hitting a rock and cracking the oil pan. They never provided a tow truck, i called the provided service number but they never answered, and the garage i had the car towed to told me the repairs would run no more than 1000 euros. Atesa had me travel very far to return the keys, never provided me with a replacement vehicle and charged my credit card 4000$! They never contacted me despite months of trying to get in touch with them. Atesa is absolutely the worst service i have ever encountered and warn all to rent anywhere else but Atesa.

Beware Deposit Scams
I rented a car in Mallorca for a week, drove only 257km during that time. I topped the fuel up when the gauge showed one bar down, but despite filling the tank it continued to show one bar down. I filled it to the brim at the airport service station before returning, but the gauge then showed two bars down! I pointed out this fault to staff on returning the car and was told it would be "checked on refuelling". There is no way they could have got any more fuel into it, yet on my return home I find they had charged nearly 40 euros to my credit card. As they take a full deposit on arrival and then are supposed to refund it on return, this means they did not refund my full deposit. I suspect this may be deliberate fraud, although I cannot of course prove this.

Just Back From Alicante. Hired A Etasa Car Through
Just back from Alicante. Hired a Etasa car through Carentals.com and in Alicante Etasa use the Enterprise car hire desk. On checking my credit card statement I found that they had charged me £3.57 "transaction fee" on paying the deposit and £3.58 when return the deposit. I was never advised of this charge.
Of course I am attempting to recover this but as is the norm in these cases I am getting shoved from pillar to post.
It may only be a small amount but if they do it every time it soon mounts up.
Actually much though I hate Atesa I think these charges are made by your credit card rather than Atesa. It's probably a foreign currency transaction fee.

Check out was swift and easy. We got our refund (150€ because we did not take the extra insurance) back in 3 days. Also they charge 6€ a day! for an extra driver. One extra driver should be free in my opinion. Overall good experience.

Great Experience
Arrived to collect car 11th August, at Barcelona Airport T2, around 4pm. No queue, really friendly and helpful attendant who spoke great English.
Dealt with really efficiently, everything explained clearly and no surprises. Given option to return car full or empty - luckily selected full as despite travelling to France and back and here and there for over 2 weeks, didn't manage to empty the tank!
We'd booked a basic 3 door petrol Focus (cheap as chips), and got given a new Citroen C4 Picasso, top of the range, diesel, auto, with GPS and reverse camera. A real result which made the driving abroad experience a lot easier - lucky on this one I know......
Had to wait 10 mins as car was at T1, but not a problem especially as we were getting a much better car than we paid for. We were all given a glass of ice cool water while we waited, which was a nice touch.
Car was explained in detail, and they made sure all the settings had been put into English so the GPS etc. was easy to use straight away.
Car was great, much bigger and nicer than we actually paid for, and made holiday easier all round.
Car drop off was painless too, attendant waiting outside when we got to car park 27th August around noon, really friendly, good English, checked over car quickly, confirmed all ok, and we were on our way within 5 mins.
Really good painless experience all round.

Does anyone know what deposit I'll pay on a 7 seater from here?
Has anyone hired a car from Atesa at Palma Airport? Have used Goldcar for the last 10 years but they are now so expensive and I am therefore looking elsewhere ... Must be on airport - and must be efficient! Any info about Atesa would be appreciated.
