We booked through Mr Car Hire for a vacation in Toronto. The car we received was virtually brand new, just 34 km on the clock which seemed good. Unfortunately there was a problem with it after we travelled just 1 km from the collection point.

We called them up and told them of the situation. They then brought another car to us with 15 minutes. It was also new but quite a bit bigger. I guess it would have been a more expensive option.

The brake down was an inconvenience, but their response with first class.

We spoke to them when brought the car back 2 weeks later and the problem was due to a manufacturing error. It’s quite unusual for a brand new car to suffer problems, but that’s just one of those things. Anyway, they gave us a gift voucher worth £50 of our next car rental with them which was a nice token.

Have used a couple of times, smooth on all occasions. Quick pickup and dropoff. Definitely worth taking the excess insurance if you are new to driving abroad.

Very good all round. It was an easy pick up and drop off of the vehicle. Staff very friendly & a good car.
