We've visited Faro before and wanted to try and avoid the long queues and constant up-sell of the major rental companies. We found Luzcar from the Tripadvisor reviews and I decided to give them a go, given that they include full insurance in the price of their car.

We rented a Seat Arona, Automatic, with a baby seat. Pickup was simple, we just had to pay 10EUR extra for the automatic toll charging device, which is normal. The car drove great and the drop-off was super easy as well. I'd definitely use them again and hope they continue offering this level of service.

I had an economy car for 5 days, no problen picking it up at Faro airport, all insurance is included so no pressure to take out anything extra.Told to bring back car with the same amount of fuel, it had 1/2 a tank. No rip off by being charged for a full tank and being told to bring it back empty.

Unfortunately I damaged a tyre and had no issues at all when I returned the car and pointed out the damage.

Will certainly hire from them again when I return in 2 months.

There is now an open fronted kiosk in car park 4 which is shared by all car hire firms so you dont collect from an agent at a van.

I rented an economy car from Luzcar in Lagos, PT for one week the last week of April 2015. The car was delivered to the hotel on time. Great customer service! The delivery guy was very nice, explained everything, then took me out to the car which only had 1600 KM on it and went through everything. I got an upgrade for some reason, and got a Ford Fiesta. I was told to return the car with the same amount of gas - it only had 1/4 tank. A week later I went to their office to return it and they said they would come pick it up at the hotel. No problems, no hassles, what you see is what you get! No extra charges for anything! I paid $160E for a week rental, drove it all over, had no problems.

Hired car once in September 2014 from Faro Airport. We generally go for the mainstream international names but they were very expensive this time. So, used www.economycarhire.com and ended up with car from Luzcar. I found it much easier to use than the mainstream names like Avis. The car was located in Car Park 4 at the airport - an easy stroll from the terminal - and, although it feels a little dodgy walking up to a bloke in a van, the admin was incredibly easy; there was no attempt to flog me an upgrade or insurance etc. I had ordered a Renault Megane and got a brand new Dacia Logan estate with built-in SatNav. The car was fine and better than some from the big firms. Returning the car was very easy. So, I started out with a deal of trepidation and ended up very satisfied.
