Rent From Them Only If U Can Afford To Forfeit Your Deposit
I was deducted $150 for some mysterious scratches on 5 June 2015. When I went there to collect the 1st car, the steering was wobbling & vibrating violently on the road. I then requested for a safer car and they are right to give me a free upgrade to a MPV. But with I return the car on 5 Jun 2015, my nightmare begin to see 3 HIRVA staff from WCEGA plaza go round the returned car several times to find scratches on it. When I try to lower the amount, the slim rude guy who claim to be the boss say car belong to him and only he will call the shot & that's FINAL. He even dare to call the security to chase me out of their office when I wanted to see the big bosses. That rude guy claimed that he had rented the space i am standing on and shouted at me in front of all his staff to get loss!!!
So you canl judge for yourself how good is this car rental company...

Beware Of Losing Your Deposit
Rented from Hirva Car Rental in Dec 2013.
Price was cheap if you buy the vouchers on promotions.
However, I got a car with bad suspension, and they made some excuse on scratches on the bumper and deducted over $100 from my deposit. I have rented multiple times from other car rental companies before in Singapore but this was the first time I encountered such an incident.
Won't be going back to Hirva Car Rental anymore. If you are reviewing car rental companies in Singapore, hope this review is useful to you -- watch your deposit!
In this review alone, there are numerous people being cheated of their deposits.
Here are the evidence of their immoral business ethics:
1. They claim that the scratches is as big as the head. I had a picture taken and even using his smaller greedy head, he need to use only his face alone to cover all the scratches.
2. The petrol level return is the same level when I took the vehicle from them. If not, you think that they still return me the $50 deposit even? This show that this company is not honest and like to make up stories to deceive public.
3. So it is exposed that this company sales tactics are to rent low but find ways to forfeit deposit to cover loss as they claim.
Surely i will pursue the matter to Case.
This is Hirva Car Rental and our response to Mccheang for his review. Mccheang was given an MPV, which is a more expensive Group of car for the replacement when we realize the issue with the previous car. Any car rental that practises profiteering as Mccheang pointed out, Hirva is, will not practice this option. How do you profit when you are lose money? Mccheang is a customer who has taken cars from us before and everytime he takes a car,he will snap pictures of the car’s defects like scratches etc before driving off. Same thing happened in this instance when he took over the MPV from us which was given as a replacement. He has to acknowledge the existing scratches, nicks and dents on the car which is stated on the Hiring Agreement which our staff went through with him and he signed off. Upon return, the so called MYSTERIOUS SCRATCHES (not sure how Mccheang consider small when the scratch is bigger than a person's head at the side bumper) as pointed out Mccheang appeared and it took 3 guys to look through the car. For everyone’s benefit, we have CCTVs in office and can show you that is not the case. Staff A who “Checked In” the car saw the scratches and pointed out this new defect to Mccheang who told Staff A the scratch can be cleaned off. Staff A took a pail filled with water and a cloth and tried to clean the scratch in front of Mccheang. When it did not go off, Mccheang totally try to absolve himself, stating it was already there when he took it. As such, the staff has to call another person to be sure that the scratches are new and not previously there before MccHeang took the car. Staff B was there to prepare the car for the next customer and not to inspect the scratches. Staff C came upon the call for assistance from Staff A to inspect the scratches and confirmed it is new. Staff C, being pro-active and from experience knowing this McCheang will be a problem customer decided to bring the Vehicle Hiring Agreement form on a clipboard with the balance deposit after deductions of repairs on it. During the discussion which happened, McCheang SNATCHED the money which was on the clipboard from Staff C while Staff C was trying to explain that the scratch is new. Snatching of anything is considered rude and it goes to confirm that McCheang is someone who is in the wrong. During the heated discussion, name-calling (pig and other derogatory words) were called by McCheang which he failed to state here and was the reason security was called. Yes, McCheang was charged $150 as we have to repair the scratch and also lose the use of the car for rental during the repair. Did McCheang ever thought about this loss from our side. The car mentioned cost $138/day to rent so if you add up the repair cost and the loss of use, how much will that add up to? Surely more than $150. Further to that, the petrol returned was way less than when he took the car and up to date still not charged to him yet. These are the kind of customers we do not want to see again after knowing their true nature. Hirva Car Rental would like to invite McCheang to provide the pictures of the car before he took it. During the so called heated discussion, McCheang had the cheek to say that he did not bring the phone which contained the pictures of the car before he took it, as he had left it at home. Can you believe this guy? We have the CCTV footage and the rental agreement to prove our point. Hirva is a company that respects it's customers unless that customer starts to disrespect any of our staff. We do not condone that and neither do most other companies, not just car rentals. Try going to a hospital and see what they write to warn these kind of customers.

I warned him that I will pose in the social media and he said go ahead!!! That's what I am doing now.
So you can judge for yourself how good their customer service is as regards to this car rental company...
Looking at HIRVA rebuttal in this tread saying that small scratches is ok with them and the spraying will cost $120, and now mine is a minor scratches and charges me $150??? how double standard they are and confirm a greedy profiteering company indeed..
thanks for the alert! In line with what I heard from other bros..
Hirva car rental is located at a residential address at Amber Gardens... I prefer to rent from a car leasing company with a proper address.
