I got my insurance with drivestyle back in June. I was told about all the documents required, I prepared them all and on the day the tracker was fixed on my car I presented all needed. As I had my proof of NCB in an email I showed it to the guy and asked whether there was an email address I could forward it to. He mentioned that on his list it showed the proof of NCB in green which apparently meant it wasn't necessary. He only needed the driving license and the counterpart and maybe V5. I was happy that all was sorted out until a few weeks ago. I realised there was a big money back into my account from drivestyle. I checked my dashboard online, there was no communication and my policy looked ok. I called drivestyle up and they told me my policy was cancelled back in July. I was so surprised. I asked for the reason they mentioned it was bc I didn't provide my proof of NCB. I explained what happened and they said they sent two letters out to notify me about the cancellation before cancelling it. Even if they had sent the TWO letters I was away on holiday most of the summer and did not receive any of these letter. I do not think that is fair to have the policy cancelled with just two letters. I received all my policy and everything through email and online. I didn't expect any letter from drivestyle anyways. Why once you want to encourage pple to take out insurance with your company you don't stop calling them and sending them emails but when you have their money and gets to cancelling their policy and take out £140 in cancellation fees you do not bother to do any of this ???? I think this is an absolute rip off ! I had my proof of NCB and see no reason why to have my policy cancelled. Even worse I had my car with no insurance for three months without me knowing !!!!!!!! Now bc of this I lost £140 and I cannot take out insurance with any other company as they do not offer me any policy as my previous policy was cancelled by my previous insurer. This is rediculous !!!! Absolute rip off and so unprofessional !!!! I DO NOT RECOMMENT COVER BOX DRIVE STYLE TO ANYONE !!!
