Custom Car Hire

Booked car with My Car Hire. On arrival at Palma airport my car was to be picked up from Record counter. The que for this counter was across the terminal building. It took me 3 hours to get to the front of the que and pick up the car. I did call My Car Hire who were frankly completely un interested (as they already had my money I guess).

The lady at the hertz counter told me the length of the que was shorter than normal on this particular day.

I will never use my car hire again! They have got one star only because you can't score them zero.

Took my deposit, booked the car hire, but did not pay the deposit to National Alamo. Now website down and no response on the phone.

Good competitive price for the cars we hired in South Africa. When we arrive at Port Elizabeth airport to collect our car, the not very helpful chap at National/Alamo said the deposit we had paid had nothing to do with them and refused to take it off the price of the car hire - which was totally different to the price we'd been given by Custom Car Hire. Website hardly ever seems to work and they don't respond to e-mails (possibly because their IT system is so poor). Wouldn't use them again unless desperate!

In the end, I gave up and took my business elsewhere.

My final query, pointing out all of the above was simply not answered.

On arrival at the Europcar desk, everything was going smoothly but the price quoted did not correspond with the price being charged. We had to make a quick phone call back to Custom Car Hire, who then rang back to the Europcar desk to ask why the price differed from the one quoted. They then had to call Europcar head office and then they got back to me to say that there had been an error on their part and they would reimburse me on my return.

This action delayed us by about half an hour.

On my return I faxed the invoice to them and then I received a cheque for the extra amount that I had to pay.

All I can say is that all my dealings with Custom Car Hire have been courteous and true to their word. I would have no problem in using them again or recommending them to anyone else.

I'll never use Custom Car Hire again. The reserved car was not available from Thrifty Rent A Car at Florence airport, although I had the confirmation from Custom Car Hire. I had to rent from another agency at a much higher rate.

They did not respond to my complaint and kept the deposit.

Budget gave me the paperwork and pointed me in the direction of the car. When I got to the car I noticed that there were scratches on the car, no hub covers on the wheels, and the front number plate was dented and scratched. I went back to the Budget booth and got the lady to come out with me and do an inspection of the car, and she marked down all the scratches etc on the sheet.

Excellent service provided by Custom Car Hire. I will use them again and again, and my friends are going to use them as well.

This is the third time I have used Custom Car Hire to book car rental in France. I use them at Nice Airport and on two occassions they set me up with Europcar and once with Alamo at very competitive prices.

Very simple facility to get your quotation and easy online booking. No complications at all and would certainly recommend them!

I found that as they were an agent they were completely honest and up front about which rental company I would be with and they really put my mind at ease.

Having searched the web for a decent car rental rate in Rome, I found Custom-CarHire.com Their rates were excellent, and I found their website so easy to use.

I'm a firm believer that quality is much better, and their site was an absolute pleasure to use. Just enter your dates/locations and they will show you which cars are available and how much. They don't bombard you with information which is of no use to you at all.

They sent email confirmation in a timely manner, and that was me all set.
