Hired a car for 89€. On arrival at Málaga Airport there was an additional charge(already taken from my credit card) of 100€ although the slipp attached showd only 50€.

Returned the car (btw full of bumbs and scrapes) in advance and blocked my cc to avoid any additional charges.

Not heard anything from (Julio?) them afterwards.

Warning! Never book with them if you don't expect serious problems and cancelling your reservation ON A DAY of pick-up! They told me that my res. was cancelled because of not re-confirming, despite of three e-mails exchange with them and booking extra child seat (confirmed by them!). At the Malaga airpot they told me "It's high season, your reservation is cancelled!". Nightmare!. I was forced to book another car in other car rental company for 50% more expensive rate, because I wanted on the same day. If I did it before, knowing that carmalaga are thefts, it would much cheaper and we would avoid very stresful situation.

Not to be trusted !

After contact by mail and after 4 months still no 400 euros deposit back !!! Poor condition of the car, they deserve NO star, so a bigg ZERO.

Never book a car at carmalaga because they take your money !!

I recommend carmalaga.com, their vehicles are in excellent conditions. I can say that they have their own office at Malaga airport and the vehicle I hired was completely new.

Customer support was excellent and I had zero problems. Not sure if we are reviewing the same company, but carmalaga.com is totally recommended by me actually.

Carmalaga.com is not a broker service, my recommendation is to give a try. Im very happy with them.

I hired a car from Carmalaga and I was disgusted in the way I was treated. On their website it states no credit card required, but when we ( me, my wife and two young children ) I was told because it was late we had to pay by credit card and not cash as we had wished. We didnt want to pay by card as the limit on the card we had was quite low, but we were left with no alternative. On returning the car we were taken by minibus to the airport where I was told I would have to go back to the office, alone, leaving my wife and kids there. On arrival at the office I was told in front of many other customers that my card had not worked and that I must "pay the full amount in cash now" I was left feeling very uncomfortable and was almost treated as a criminal. The thing that irritated me most was the fact they took my mobile number at the airport but they didnt phone me when the card wouldnt work, I could have returned to the airport and paid with cash. Because I was separated from my wife who had cash in her bag I was forced to phone a relative in the UK and ask them to pay over the phone. In summary I would not deal with these people ever again, they are an absolute disgrace.

We wouldn't recommend carmalaga.com based on the above.We ended up taking the train to our destination which worked out better for us in the end and rented a car closer to the hotel. I guess you really need to book with a bigger car company to know what you're getting.
