Abco Car Rental

At first the service seemed great. Met us at Krakow Airport on time. Few minutes filling out form etc. and we were away. The car was basically clapped out, no acceleration at all. After 2nd day of hire it wouldn't start. We phoned the office and they RELUCTANTLY sent out a replacement car the next day. The new car was a great improvement on the first one. But on returning the car at the airport at the gas station we found they'd charged us for the gas they'd used dropping off the replacement car and the gas used in returning the useless one! We refused to pay so there was long phone calls to the office which I felt were designed to make us panic. If we were in a hurry to get your flight we probably would have to pay or miss your flight. Fortunately we had several hours to kill so we had no rush. After settling the extra fuel charge we thought we would be taken to the airport, but no. He wanted to check we'd filled the car with gas fully. He turned on the ignition the told us it was empty and had to fill it despite knowing we'd just filled it up. We showed him the gas receipt then realised he had to start the car before the fuel would register on the gage. He said it wasn't full enough and made us go back to the pumps and fill it right up to the top of the filler hole. Having done this we found it was only 3 Euro's worth - about £2.50 or $4.00. Despite not knowing exactly how much gas was in the tank when we picked the vehicles up we gave him his 3 Euro's and left. The deliberate time wasting and shear pettiness of it made us vow never to use them again.

We booked a car from ABCO having not even heard of them before and was a little apprehensive to start with, but with numerous emails where my questions were answered, and my concerns satisfied we set off....

Met at the airport arrivals by Lukas and was taken to the car in the airport car park, perfectly clean with seats for the kids already in it.

All in all the collection was about as good as you could hope for.

No worries during the holiday, even though we'd already arranged that we'd be taking the car out of Poland for the duration.

Got back to drop the car off a little early but only had to wait about 5 minutes for the same chap to arrive, a quick look round the car and that was it!! Yes, we dropped it off in the petrol station outside the airport as they have no space at the airport reserved for them - hence how they keep the prices down. But let's face it, you only have to cross the road to get to the airport terminal if you wanted to walk! Didn't need to, Lukas dropped me off at the terminal and gave me a hand with the luggage.

Certainly going to use them again :-)

We rented a car from Abco at Krakov airport. Somebody was waiting for us and brought us to our car. We had asked for a Toyata Yaris and we got a Toyata Yaris.

We had to return the car at a petrol station near the airport. Everything was ok and they even bring us back to the railway station.

We booked low-cost car hire with Abco in Krakow, Poland. The quality of the car was good, but they run a con trick where they ask you to meet them at a petrol station to return the car at the end and then pretend to find "damage" that is invisible. They get very heated and refuse to transfer you back to the terminal to catch your flight. Of course, they then charge your credit card for the deposit.

Be careful! It ends up costing much more than renting with a reputable company.
