I booked a car rental with Car Jet at Gatwick Airport and paid GBP40.00 in advance a five day rental. I was instructed to pick up the car from Green Motion who charged me again for the same car, mis-sold me excess insurance and unlimited mileage I didn't need. It cost me another GBP191.00. “Terrible customer services ”

I reserved and paid for my car hire with carjet online, paid the excess waiver as I didn’t have the £1500 excess charge. Website advices you pay a waiver. I arrived to pick my car at the Heathrow branch only to be asked for a £700 deposit. This was never mentioned in any of the email communication with carjet. “Controversial car hire”

Hired car at faro airport and had purchased excess insurance with Reducemyexcess.co.uk for £19 the week. CarJet rep not happy as he wanted nearly £50. Checked car in the fading light and agreed with noted slight damage,chips etc. Pointed out by the rep.Petrol gauge barely in the reserve so had to fuel up prior to a 60 mile journey at 9pm. “Avoid at All Costs”

Carjet, Carjet.com, DoYouSpain and DoYouSpain.com services not to be trusted. We booked a car in London and when arriving at their vendor office (Green Motion) were told that a different car will be given (from a LOWER category) with NO price reduction, on top of that insurance offered by Carjet was supposed to be an excess waiver but was told by the vendor that the insurance had to be issued by the vendor's insurer to be valid. “Sold me a non valid insurance policy”

I hired a car through carJetband bought insurance to cover 100% damage waiver. On arrival to collect the car I was told that the insurance is not valid. Zurich has no record of insurance. “Small print ”

I booked a car for 5 days for the end of May 2019, I immediately realised I hadn't changed the collection time so called them straight away to alter this as my flight does not get in until 6pm, yet the collection time was for 10am. I was told to collect my car from Euston station. On arrival I was told to go to the Hilton Hotel on Edgware Road. I had to do this at my own expense despite the Hilton not appearing as the collection point on the website.The person I dealt with there was abrupt, unhelpful and uncooperative. “Bad business- dishonest and unclear”

This is a dishonest, sneaky company. I was quoted one price but was charged more to my bank account than what it said on the invoice. When I asked about the additional charge they said it was an "administration fee" but but I did not see this fee anywhere during the booking process. Shameful Scheme! After paying online £130 for both car and insurance upon collection I had to pay extra £330 in taxes, fees, extra mandatory insurance - if I would refuse to do so I would lose the £130 already paid, and I would have no car in a foreign country. We rent a car in Barcelona. We ordered it through Carjet with the topup insurance. This insurance cost us like 30€ less than the one proposed by sixt. Sixt accused us of having crashed the car while this was not true. We contacted Carjet and they helped us to contact the insurance company (Halo insurance). The insurance company helped us to complete the administrrative procedure and we rapidly received the reimbursement of the damages charged by Sixt (300€). Carjet is the worst one i had till Now, i can believe on this!!!!
I Booked a car and pre paid for booking with carjet - even took out the additional insurance!
Arrived after a several hour delay to collect my car I paid £430 = 482,77 euros when should be less than that because my car hire charge was 411 Euros plus insurance,and also after paying £430 when I arrived to Lisbon Airport Goldcar Rent A Car they charged me another insurance of 594.53 Euros!?I already paid £71.40 extra to cover my insurance!Goldcar cleared with me the insurance from Carjet is not valid in Portugal/Lisbon. In total it was more expensive rent this car than my fliths, and no promotion as showing on your online page, Carjet make misleading advertising.
I called them and they not help me and no solutions to my situation! I already sent two e-mails and no answer!

Had trouble with Dickmanns on return. They took ages to refund my deposit and then did it to my bank and not returned to my c/card. The returned money was short by some £52.00. I had emailed Dicmanns several times regarding all of the stages, they never responded. I ordered a car to collect at Murcia with Carjet, they booked with Dickmanns. We landed at 21.30 queued in the car park for an hour and got told by a very rude woman at their van that they had no car for us. Even the confirmation email printed off did not sway her. “They do not respond to complaints!”

I arrived on a late flight and late at night at Valencia airport with my car rental voucher for DICKMANS that had my flight details on the booking... all the other car rental companies were still collecting their fares from the same flight but Dickmans failed to show I called their offices and waited for 1 hour with my young son, It was now 1am I felt vulnerable and scared waiting on my own. “FireFly - Stay Away they are the pits”

I arrived in Barcelona airport on Thursday May 1st, went to the Firefly cabin in the parking area and waited two hours and five minutes standing in the car park in a Q before I could get my car. Then I get a car that is full of scratches. To be fair I have used CarJet on numerous occasions over the last 9 years when booking car rental from Alicante airport and have previously never had any issues. Not so on the last occasion! “Disaster at Palma airport rental”

Having used Carjet several times before, I used them again recently to hire a car for pick up on arrival at Palma airport. The company being used was Goldcar. The queue was about 40 long and it took as long to wait for the pick up as it did to fly from Bristol. Not only that they bullied you to take top-up insurance and offered you the chance to jump the queue for an extra 30 euros. This on top of 100 euros for a full tank. I have also just had problems with Carjet and Goldcar. Goldcar took an authorised payment on our credit card in January and Carjet have done virtually nothing to help sort this out for us. I sent them the link for the reviews on Goldcar but they ignored it. I used Carjet for years, but as a result of this I won't be using them again, or recommending them. Another thing, if you take Carjet insurance don't be fooled into thinking that your only extra charge to the car hire company will be the petrol - Admin charges etc soon add up and it ends up costing MORE and you have to leave a 600 Euro deposit on your credit card. Don't use Carjet and if you do, don't take their insurance!!
