“Holiday car hire”

I booked the car around 2 moths prior to the holiday and knowing there would be 4 of us i booked something bigger than my normal car. I opted for the BMW 2 Series or similar which was advertised as being able to accept 4 suitcases and 4 passengers, when we arrived we were offered an Audi A3 which was no where near big enough so i had to upgrade and ended up with a Toyota Land Cruiser which was a really nice comfortable car. “Charged for Insurance I Did Not Request”

This is unlikely to be Holiday Autos' fault, so should probably not be taken as a criticism of them if people are reading this with them in mind. However, Budget charged me USD171.15 for "Personal Accident and Effects" insurance. At the desk, I declined every extra I was offered by the Budget representative. Booking through Holiday Autos was fine but my experience with Interrent was awful. I waited 60 minutes to be dealt with (I expected this as with most of the cheaper rental companies), the numbered ticketing system had broken so people were jumping the queue. There was a long delay collecting the vehicle. The car we ordered wasn't ready at the agreed time. We were offered an alternative which was inconvenient and we weren't given enough time to check the vehicle thoroughly, the agent pointing out a number of blemishes to us. I would use again but I was disappointed by the service and communication between terminal and the off site location of the car. I was very cross by one member of staff who I found sarcastic and attempted to up sell with supposed humour. Upon returning the car to the returns desk there were no staff so I was unable to confirm that the car was returned undamaged. This is critical to a satisfied customer, if they try and claim there was damage it will be an issue. If they manned the desk it would have been agreed at the time that there was no damage. “OptimoRent - Long Queues to collect car and waiting time”

Please be aware that if there are more than three people waiting to collect a car it will take over an hour to be processed and get your car due to only one person serving - whereas all other car rentals had sufficient staff and cleared their queues much quicker. Collection process could be better as representative not at Arrivals hall, so had to go find them/car. They were however, dealing with another client, so obviously can't be in too places at the same time. The staff at Linate airport were great, but the staff at Marco Polo airport could have been more cheery. The location of the vehicle collection point is not immediately obvious at Linate Airport. “Car rental in Las Vegas”

I chose Europcar as car rental provider, it showed to actually be Advantage. Car should be Toyota Camry or equal. I got a Hyundai Tucson which might be equal? As usual you have to inspect the car yourself and note all damages. The inspection form was a very tiny piece of paper with limited space to write on. Why not have a prefilled form with known damages instead? The car was not very clean outside and actually dirty in the backseat. I acceptad it however to get going. Waiting over one and a half hours to check in at Malaga was too long! The hire company chosen was about the furthest away and the car provided didn’t have a full tank of petrol - at least it was new! The delay to report the low fuel was unacceptable and not properly recorded so I was penalized when dropping off the car at end of hire!
