Arrived in early Feb at Edinburgh Airport, i discover my driving licence has expired. They bent over backwards to ensure we were to leave with a car on our family holiday. I can't thank them enough. My daughter took the wheel and despite having to change the name on the contract, they limited the impact on cost and made every effort to help

I had a job interview at the beginning of January 2019 for the position of Administration Officer in Slough. Everybody was just absolute perfection! When I got there, I was greeted with the friendliest smiles, warmth and happiness. This made me more relaxed. The building was impeccably flawless/immaculate to the very highest degree! “1st Class Service”

I want to say that I have had a fantastic service with Sixt at Alicante Airport, Spain for the last 2 years.Both times the cars were virtually new (Audi A1 August 18, Citreon C4 Cactus 2229KYG August 19), they were sparkling inside and out and virtually new! The staff on arrival and dropping off were professional and courteous and we have had no issues with the cars on both occasions, even though we do in excess of 2000km during our holiday and the cars work hard. Last year we were given a "Free" beach umbrella on arrival which was a great touch! Yes, we pay for it in the rental price, but it's still a nice touch. They are more expensive than other companies, but I believe you get what you pay for, I have had old cars with Record go and queued for hours with Goldcar. My advice would be go for Sixt, I am booked to go in August (Fingers crossed and Covid allowing), and will shortly be booking again through Do you Spain.

Recently used SIXT to hire a car at Glasgow airport and return it to Edinburgh airport . Whilst for bog standard manual vehicles they may not be first choice in terms of cost , for something more premium eg an auto BMW , Mercedes or Audi they seem to have a better availability than many other car firms (maybe because they are also a German company!) although you will not necessarily get the make specified on the website, as they make clear on the website itself . We reserved a BMW 1 Series and got an Audi A3 instead which was perfectly fine. The staff at both ends were very friendly and helpful ,we had an elderly passenger with us and they went out of their way to make matters easier to accommodate him. Would definitely use again.

We recently rented from Sixt for our 25th wedding anniversary get away to AZ. The customer service we were provided was stellar from the very beginning. When we checked in to pickup our car with the person I dealt with. She went out of her way to make our trip special. She upgraded our SUV with complete joy and excitement on her face. Only a day into our trip someone smashed in the back passenger window and stole a few personal items. Sixts made getting a new car easy and stress free and exchanged our already beautiful SUV for an even better one. Thank you for taking such good care of us and making renting a car from your company a pure joy! I will be telling everyone about my experience and care and encourage them to rent from you!

I was unable to find the car rental facility due to my cell phone breaking. Needed to get a car quickly so I rented somewhere else. The company understood and returned my pre-paid. I was very pleased with their customer service, and their cost being much lower than other companies. I will rent from this company in the future as my primary provider.

I pre booked a car online 2 days before I went to Malaga. Registered my licence and dos everything they asked to make sure the process was as quick and easy as possible. When I got there the staff were friendly and helpful overall took me 20 mins u too I had the car. I did panic a bit as there was a few dents on the car but when I went back to the check in desk the staff explained they were already on the invoice. So did a quick check to cross reference and off I went. Checking the car back again was quick and easy they looked over the car said everything was fine again took about 15 mins. Would definitely use again!!

Living in London, I have no need to own a car. I always hire a car from Sixt whenever we venture out of the capital. I have used Vauxhall (now closed down), Wandsworth and now more recently the Victoria Branches to collect and return the cars. Every time over the last 15 years or so the staff have always been courteous, friendly and helpful. The cars are always clean and < 1 year old. In all those years I have broken down only once and the response was prompt and the vehicle replaced like for like. The cars are reliable and well equipped. Prices are comparable with other hire companies but if booked well in advance and prepaid there is a saving to be made. Would like to see more offers for long term returning customers but I rate this company as one of the best for hiring a vehicle and they are pretty decent car models as well.

Collected the car at Belfast (not quite city airport!). Was surprised the location was listed as Belfast city airport as it wasn't quite. We were collected at the airport and driven to the depot about 5 mins away. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. They provided guidance and advice and made the experience very easy. I would absolutely recommend Sixt and would definitely use again and recommend them to anyone. Just don't expect to walk out of arrivals and collect your car.

I'm writing to tell you about a wonderful experience I had with Sixt in St Pancras, London branch. I was welcomed into the branch and was told my car was not ready, yet they offered me a free upgrade and I didnt have to wait! the person I dealt with a wonderful Sixt agent walked me himself to the car and explained all car features and made sure Im okay to drive before I left. We I came back the person I dealt with greated me and we had a chat about my jouney. This is something my dad and I have not experienced with "Thrift Car Rental" and as a result we are cancelling our long term car rental with them and sign one with Sixt. Way to go! Sixt!! Keep up like this and I will make sure all my friends never rent but from you!

A car rental with Sixt was one of the best decisions on my trip to the UK in 2014. The car was not only ready on time, all services were clockwork, and the condition (cleanliness, fragrance, servicing, over all condition) of the car was as good as new. Though Sixt could add hourly rentals for repeat customers instead of full day rates (a full day rate for a few extra hours over 24 may be a little unfair to some), the value for the money I spent on the rental was great. The paperwork and disbursal was quick and the representatives were warm and most helpful. Overall, it was good value for money and return was hassle free too! 5 Stars from me! Gireesh. (India)

“Easy way to find Sixt office near Waverley station.”

I found it difficult to find the Sixt office in Edinburgh when leaving Waverley train station. This is to help you. Sixt info -This branch is located only 5 minutes from the station, at the Q-Park car park. When you arrive into Edinburgh at Waverely Train Station please follow the signs for "Way Out to Calton Road", next to platforms 2/3. Take the stairs up to exit the station, follow the road under the arch bridge and continue past Starbucks Coffee shop where you will see the Q-Park Car Park Omni Entrance on your right (opposite John Lewis). The Sixt rent a car office is on level -3 of the car park, which is accessible by lift, keep right and walk straight when exiting the lift to arrive at our office which is inside the car park on the left by the entrance. My advice - Use routes out of station as described - when you reach the main road where you will see John Lewis on your left across the road - walk past Starbucks - take the first right at traffic lights - this is a road between the old car park and the new car park. You will notice the stone built wall on the right hand side of the road with Sixt signs pointing down the hill. Walk down the hill past the first car park car entrance/exit. At the next car park car entrance/exit you will see the Sixt office just behind the barrier. Hope this helps. Sixt staff are friendly and helpful.

“Car Hire in Palma Airport”

Having booked and cancelled car hire with a cheaper comparison website for our family holiday in Majorca in July 2015 we eventually booked with Sixt. I had cancelled the other car hire due to negative reviews. The service from Sixt from booking to returning the car was 1st class. The girl on the phone for booking was extremely helpful, the car was firstclass and it only took about 15 minutes from arriving at the Sixt desk to complete all forms and be on our way to the car. Returning the car was also very straight forward and I would have no hesitation in recommending Sixt. Although they appear somewhat more expensive in reality they are not much more expensive. They include your CDW in the price and there are no hidden extras. The other car I had booked did not include CDW and I had booked that seperately with the 3rd party I was dealing with. As I had not booked directly with the car hire company when the paperwork came through they were looking to hold £2000 on my credit card. So although you may be paying slightly more, for me it was about £30 for a week for a medium sized family car, the service and car you get are well worth it. The other car hire company I had booked with had a queue a mile long at the airport and I know I would have been waiting at least 2 hours if not more. If loooking for a car do not go past Sixt

I rented a car for 3 nights to drive from Copenhagen to Helsingor, Denmark and back again in June 2015. I was extremely happy with my experience. The customer service representative at Copenhagen Terminal 3 was very easy to deal with, and gave me a free upgrade to a gorgeous BMW and made the rental process fast and painless. The car was fantastic for our needs. Lots of room for 3 travellers, each with a medium sized suitcase. The return of the car was just as simple to the attendant in the parking garage. Again, extremely friendly and eager to help. What I was more than happy about was that I was charged exactly what my reservation stated. Nothing more and nothing less. All in all I would absolutely use Sixt Rent a Car again and recommend to anyone considering them in the future.

Are Sixt just the broker or the actual car hire company? I hate brokers such as Argus or Rentalcars.

They are definitely a car rental company, you pick your rental car up from their SIXT depot/office, and I have always been able to select the exact vehicle I wanted.
