I wish I could read the reviews about this terrible car rental company in advance. We rented a car from them and paid the deposit in cash. The guy promised to refund the deposit to my credit card in 2 to 3 days. But, they didn't, and they stopped replying to my emails and calls. I started a complaint on edreams.com that I booked my reservation via them. This is definitely a fake company and PLEASE stay away from them.

“Could be better, but OK”

The only thing, that made me a bit irratated was the delay. I was waiting for a car for 40 minutes. The car was clean, nice and ok, but I hate waiting, that's why can't mark 5 stars.

“Very bad rent a car service”

I recently booked a 9 seater mini van with automatic transmission for my stay in Bodrum, Turkey and paid a 10% deposit to confirm my reservation. One day prior to the pickup i received a phone call from Pandora telling me that the vehicle i requested is no longer available. All other car rental shops were fully booked by that time. I was left with no alternatives and had to pay a lot more for taxis. Furthermore, above all this, it has been two weeks that i did not get my deposit back and i have sent multiple emails and called them over 3 times where at every instance they will tell me that they will refund me today. I am not sure whether i should take legal action or just forget about it but i had to put it out there that Pandora Car Hire is a terrible company with no regards to customer satisfaction.

“old unsafe unreliable”

I have used many car hire in Turkey over the years being a villa owner so accept quality can be variable. Be ware of this company they promise everything but it is not until you have a problem you find out the truth. vehicle had no spare wheel or jack. I had a flat had to arrange repair myself was promised reimbursement never happen price is cheap but vehicle very old and dirty no maintenance. some vehicle are "borrowed" from friend so a unlikely to have proper insurance. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

“Pandora's Box”

I have used this company for my last three visits (2016) because in truth they are cheap and working in the motor industry a clapped out old banger does not phase me for a holiday rental as long as it is reliable enough to get me to my holiday location. However in July 2016 I rented a minibus from Pandora and experienced a puncture. There was no wheel brace jack or method to be able to remove and change to the spare. I, along with my Turkish friend, contacted the company. They told us they would send a repair company out to fix it and we would have to pay 175tl for the repair that would be refunded. The repairer eventually came and changed the wheel but pointed out that the rear suspension had been damaged for some time and the bald tyre on the replacement wheel was unsafe. I contacted the hirer again who agreed to change the vehicle the next day. Two days later it was substituted by a similar aged Mercedes (375,000km on the clock!) – ashtrays were full and rubbish throughout. I asked the driver about the tools for this vehicle and was told there are not any. He told me “if you have a puncture contact the office”. I requested my 175tl and was told this would be returned to me at the airport when I returned the car. Over the next days several messages were sent to Mehmet Senturk who owns and runs Pandora Cars but none were answered. On arriving at the airport at the end of the holiday we were met by a driver from Pandora. I requested my 175tl from him but was told he did not have it. I refused to hand over the keys until I spoke to Mehmet Senturk. I pointed out that he had given his word that he would reimburse me in line with the hire agreement and this was unacceptable particularly as I was returning the vehicle half full off diesel. Eventually, he again gave me his word that he would send the money to my Turkish bank account the next day. To date I am still waiting. I will not be using this company again. If someone is not honourable I would not use. What would happen in the event of an accident? I am not suggesting that others do not use this company, as like me you could be attracted by the competitive rates. But if you do, take care and insist on viewing the tools and the state of the spare at the airport BEFORE you hand over you cash.

Yesterday at 12.05 I enquried & rented a top of the range car. At the time, i was concerned over the cheap price they offered for the vechile. In the same location Europ car presented a deal, with the same range model I was orginally enquring about, but at 60GB for a day. From researching prices around the area i found that europ car was at a higher value to rent for the vehicle than pandora. Pandora informed me orginally that the business was on the down hill, they told me theyd rent me 60 pound for 10 days. Why should i burn a hole in my pocket, forking out for a top of the range car i can get even cheaper then europ car with pandora for 60gb for the week.

Hired care in january 2016 .. had a bit of wait on pick up and it was not clear where the fast check in was when i arrived. However found the overall experience to be 1st class. We got the car we wanted a Vw Jetta. This did develop a fault but the exchange we so fast and smooth. Will definitely use this company again .. fantastic service

“Dangerous condition”

I hired a Hyundia 7 seater, £300 cash, at Dalaman airport. It was nighttime so I didn't really see how poor the condition was, both in and out. Very scruffy. On the third day the brakes failed coming down a hill. We had to limp to Fethiye using the hand brake only. A repairer did arrive quickly and the car was repaired and returned within 3 hours on a Saturday night. But the evening was ruined and our lives were put at risk. The repairer said the discs and pads needed replacing. I complained via email and followed it up with a phone call. I got no response.

“Car was junk, service non existent ”

Picked up a Fiat Doblo at 11pm in the dark, handing over cash to the company "representative". My friend also picked up a Merc Vito (not what was ordered). In the light of day the car was a wreck, filthy and smelly and obviously rented off a private individual, I assume a pig farmer. My friends car had more filler than Katie Price and he also found a very big and very sharp knife under the passenger seat, which with 4 kids in the vehicle was pretty disturbing. Over the 2 weeks we called and emailed the company on numerous occasions, the door handle fell off, we were promised replacements, mechanics and money back. None of this materialised. They are fairly cheap, but frankly you are risking yours and your families lives by using this company.

The small car rental companies in Dalaman rent the vehicles from individuals and most are very old and in poor condition. Rather rent from established companies. If you still want to rent from these fly by night companies, check the vehicle before signing any documents!!!

These small companies can not afford to keep a fleet of vehicles, instead, vehicles with milage over 400000 kms are rented/borrowed from local people and then you rent these moving junks! First vehicle I rented had 400000 km on the clock, when this vehicle broke down, replacement vehicle was sent but the odometer was not working and it is a big joke dealing with these so called car rental companies.

“Car worth less than the rental money!”

We have used Dalaman a few times in the past and the whilst cars have been less than spanking new, they've been decent enough and done the job - as much as you can expect for the price. However, last year I was appalled by the service and car provided. It took me ages to track them down when we got to the airport, and when I finally did, it seemed there was no car. I then saw a nice shiny new Citroen liked the one I ordered, and wondered if it was just the bloke with the keys that was missing. I was wrong. Eventually a battered old Fiat Albea turned up, with a bonnet that had clearly been knocked out and (badly) resprayed after what looked like a serious shunt. I pointed at the shiny new Citroen and said that was what I had ordered. One of the men shrugged and said "..or similar". I asked him to explain to me in what way the wreck I was being offered was similar to the car I was looking at, but at that point he seemed to lose his ability to speak English. Inside, the car was filthy and stank of stale smoke. I argued for a while and at first refused to accept the car. Unfortnately, it was 3 o'clock in the morning, we were knackered and had a 2 hour drive to Klakan ahead of us. It was clear it was this car or nothing. Despite my extreme reservations, I reluctantly took the car and it just about got us through the holiday although it seriously struggled with some of the hills. Well, what do you expect, you might say, you get what you pay for, and there is no denying that Pandora are cheap. However, it did occur to me as I was driving away that the car wasn't actually worth anything like the £240 or so we'd paid for a fortnight's rental! Value?

“Don`t waste your time or money”

We have used Pandora for several years for car hire however, this year will be the last. The service we got was nothing short of appalling. The `tatty` car arrived at Dalaman airport stinking of cigarette smoke and ash on the floor, it was dusty and dirty and there was a crack in the windscreen and one of the rear lights. It was totally unacceptable. Pandora`s website say all cars are less than two years old and non-smoking - totally untrue. We refused to accept the vehicle then all of a sudden there is a language barrier that kicks in and a phone with no battery- very convenient! Eventually, after we insisted we speak to someone else we were taken to a back street `office` close to the airport. Fortunately I was with my son-in-law for support.This would have been a very unpleasant experience for a woman on her own. We were told that because it was the end of season (October) there weren`t many cars to have. Surely there are more if less people are renting? It was agreed that we would be transferred to our destination only 15 minutes away and another car would be delivered the following day. We refused to pay the cost of the transfer as it was Pandora`s fault that they had not given us a suitable vehicle. Another car arrived the following day and we were asked for an extra £16 for more insurance cover. This had never happened before, but we paid it just to get on with our holiday. Departure was just a bad. We arrived at the airport at the agreed time and after three phone calls asking Pandora to come and take receipt of the car, they arrived half an hour late. No apologies, but why should there be? Of course the language barrier kicked in again! Summing up, I would advise you to think carefully before renting from this company. If you are not bothered about dirty cars and can put up with feeble excuses, then it`s your choice. Hopefully this is just a `one off` and they will learn from it. But the service was shoddy and I definitely will not be using them again.

This is exactly the same scenario my friends met withalso in Oct. the car was a wreck, they refused to take the car and managed to find someone willing to share a transfer to Fethiye, They and we had also used pandora previously on many occasions, but never again

Without doubt the most hassle free car rental I have ever had. Great experience from start to finish. Picked up on time, no fuss..signed for the car and was gone out of the airport in 5 mins. Same in the way back.. dropped it at the departure and was back in the airport in less than 5 mins..no fuss no frills just a decent car, not new by any stretch but absolutely perfect for driving in Crete..will def use Pandora again.

“Avoid Pandora!”

We booked a car with Pandora 6 months ago and confirmed the arrangement shortly before we travelled. At the due time we waited outside our hotel in Dalyan with our suitcases but the car never arrived. When we eventually got through to Pandora all we got was a mumbled message that there was a problem and they couldn't deliver the car. After insisting that they should provide a car they said they would call me back in 5 minutes. They never did. I then tried to contact them again but they would not answer the phone. They had effectively left us stranded on a Turkish Bank Holiday with no alternative other than to try and find another available car. Thanks to the help of the hotel manager we eventually found a vehicle and left Dalyan 7 hours later than planned. Pandora could have contacted us at any time as they had our contact details and also knew the hotel we were staying at but they never did. The very least they should have done was to try and help us find another car but they did not. Not even an apology, that is some customer service! needless to say we will never use or recommend this firm again. We opened Pandora's Box and looked inside and found it was empty. My advice would be to avoid them at all costs and book with a reputable firm that can be relied upon. Appalling and not even worth one star!

“Rubbish, rubbish rubbish”

Booked a 7 sweater vehicle with them over 3 months ago ready for August 14th, today 9th August 5 days before my holiday they send me an email that say's - "2 of our 7 seater vehicles had accident, have to cancel your order sorry for problem. Did they try and offer me another vehicle NO! Great customer service - be aware on trying to book another 7 seater with other companies prices are treble and very difficult to get - wonder if they got a better offer?
