We spent a long time looking online for a car hire company in Spain, as the one our friends usually use couldn't accommodate us all in our group, so whilst they had their cars already sorted, we needed to find an alternative solution.

It seemed that most car-hire companies were based on the little road leading off front he airport, so we were quite confused which to go with. In the end, we decided not to go with the cheapest, ut for a mid-priced company (you get what you pay for sprang to mind).

Upon arrival, there was a representative of malagaairportcarhire.com waiting in the arrivals lounge. The logo clearly displayed on his uniform. He held a clipboard on which he immediately found our names/reservation, and gave us directions of how to get the transfer mini-bus.

The airport is currently going through re-development/building work, so we did have to exit and walk about 5-6 minutes which wasn't too bad, but we did have our hands full with luggage, car seat & 2 year old, so be warned in advance, take a luggage trolley with you!! Also we knew it wasn't the fault of the car-hire company, so we didn't mind in any way.

The mini bus arrived afer about a 5 minute wait, and the air-con was blasting aay, which was ver welcome. The driver immediately put our cases on for us, and off we went.

The office litrally is a 3 minute drive. There were 4 people working processing reservations, ad we were attended to straight away. The English used was excellent.

We decided to pay the additional 3 Euro per day to cover the tyres/windows as we knew the villa we were staying at was on a dirt-track to get up up a mountain.

Even so, we didnt have any issues with they tyres/windows, but felt better knowing we had full insurance.

The car was a new style Corsa with 13,000 km on it, so couldn't have asked for a better quality vehicle. Got all our luggage and us in it comfortably.

In all, couldn't fault this company, and our friends were also impressed as the vehicles were older that they had, so they said they'd probably use malagaairportcarhire.com in the future also

Mixed review, but ultimately there is a lot of competition so they let themselves down on only one point.

The car was good, the value was good, the staff at the centre was good, the transfer to and from the airport was good.

Unfortunately the most important part, where you actually get met at the airport was poor. They say that a man will wait for you with a board and a name on it. Don't speak to anybody else they say in big red letters, because of fraudsters. Well there was no man with a board. The man who I thought should be waiting for me said that he was waiting for a group. I spent over 30 minutes phoning around for another car, and speaking to other reps, before he sidled over and said that I hadn't given him my name, so therefore he had said nothing to me. He thought it was funny, "Next time, you'll give me your name". There won't be a next time, I've cancelled my other 2 bookings and gone with the competition. We'll see if they're any better.

I've rented cars several times at Malaga airport and I can say that this company has not disappointed me at all, but rather the opposite. The service is excellent and the car was in perfect condition, all for a great price. I did not have to give any details of my credit card when booking the car online, it was a fast and pleasant car rental.
