“Fuel rip off”

Note of caution if you are considering hiring a vehicle from Europcar Jersey. Fuel on Jersey is cheaper that the mainland ranging from £1.08/litre to £1.30 per litre. I hired a Ford Fiesta from Europcar in June 2014. First problem - long lines equals a long wait. Second issue I was charged £48 for just 18 litres of fuel which works out at £2.66 per litre which is just a plain rip off. When challenged all I got was a shrug of the shoulders. “Let Own By Europcar”

For many years I have been wanting to come to Jersey and my chance came. The Friday sfter we arrived we heard there was to be a bus strike on the Monday. My 3 triends and I decided we would hire a car with me being the driver as I am used to driving in Denmark and other country's. On the Friday the hotel rang up yourselves and a four door car a Ford Fiesta was arranged to be delivered to our hotel, the Ambassadeur at 9.30. Online booking very easy, all sorted within short time. Confirmation sent immediately. Car ready on time, immaculate condition. I had pre-paid so the whole pickup was done within 5 mins. An excellent company to use, compared with others that I have used in Jersey over the last 30 years. Having office and cars at airport saves the hassel of bussing to depots etc. Great, I will use them again… Read Full Review
