We booked a hire car for our trip from Australia in March. Then COVID-19 started to impact so we postponed the trip until September. Under advice from the Australian government we cancelled the whole trip. Everything we booked was refunded due to the pandemic however VIP cars have chosen to tout their “cancellation policy” as a reason for not refunding our deposit. I find that disappointing as this isn’t a simple change of mind issue, it’s an UNABLE to travel issue which you’d think would result in the return of monies paid. Had I known this would be their practice I never would’ve booked with them.
