Recently used SIXT to hire a car at Glasgow airport and return it to Edinburgh airport .
Whilst for bog standard manual vehicles they may not be first choice in terms of cost , for something more premium eg an auto BMW , Mercedes or Audi they seem to have a better availability than many other car firms (maybe because they are also a German company!) although you will not necessarily get the make specified on the website, as they make clear on the website itself . We reserved a BMW 1 Series and got an Audi A3 instead which was perfectly fine.
The staff at both ends were very friendly and helpful ,we had an elderly passenger with us and they went out of their way to make matters easier to accommodate him. Would definitely use again.
