I had arranged rental car insurance coverage for a trip to Panama this past December. Once at the airport rental car pick up it was discovered that I needed additional insurance that would have made renting the car prohibitive so I cancelled the car rental. Being in a foreign country, my cell wasn't working and couldn't connect to the airport wifi so I couldn't immediately notify rentalcars.com of the cancellation. As soon as I was able, I contacted them and explained the circumstances and received an email back saying they would reverse the charges. A couple of months went by with no reversal so I contacted the credit card company to dispute the charges. At this point, Rentalcars.com refuses to honor their previous written promise to reverse the charges. Use these people at your own risk.
