the customer service was awful & the complaints system is worse.
we recently hired a car from reus airport having booked over the phone to accommodate 6 passengers plus luggage, the car was not suitable but as we didn't have far to go we coped with the luggage issues. we were told that we could drop the car back at 4pm on the paperwork but in passing the guy mentioned 2pm so we made sure we were back by 2 (even though the paperwork stated to return to the airport, which we tried). on arrival the staff were dealing with other customers and by the time they got to us it was past 2. they were very rude as they finish at 2 and then stated that the car was not clean enough! there was dust and general driving dirt and a very small drop of tree sap. they said that the car should be as clean as when it was collected (very difficult to achieve when the office is down a dirt track), we offered to clean it in the cleaning bay but this was refused & they have since charged us £97 for a specialist clean. I complained and was told it states to return in the same condition, which I presumed was physical state i.e. damage not dust. I believe this is just a money making scheme with I find disgusting after the charges already added on arrival. I will never use these again and will try to ensure everyone I know doesn't either so they don't get ripped off in the same way.
