The booking through the website was easy, but this seems to be an LA thing with the agents at Alamo trying to upsell everything,
The chap I spoke to was obviously having a bad day, and said the bare minimum of words in mumbles: "Card and licence'... "you want roadside?"... "go outside"...
He made no eye contact and just tapped his keyboard while occasionally sighing and huffing. Whilst I am disabled and burdened with a lot of luggage, none of the staff asked if I needed help and stood watching me struggle over the curbs, and then after picking a car, the lady at the barrier at least managed a smile.
As I said, this seems to be an LA thing as I had just had a car in Seattle with completely different positive experience, but basic communication skills and humility might go a little way to make the experience of travelling easier,
The shuttle bus drive was good though and helped me unload my bags at the terminal.
