I did not receive the car because they failed to provide my flight schedule to the car hire company, even though I provided my flight number to them and it clearly states on their website that they pass these details on to the car hire company. I arrived at the desk after being stuck on the plane for an extra 4 hours to then wait in a queue for 1.5 hours and then denied service because I was "late". Now Argus Car Hire is trying to use any excuse to not give me my money back, first they said that I should have changed my collection time while I was on the plane when I found out my flight was delayed - RIDICULOUS. Then they said that I would have never made my booking according to the flight schedule. They used a website flightera.net which has completely incorrect details of my flight. I accidentally booked using the wrong email address and didn't get a confirmation and changed the email address way before the date of collection. They have changed the email on my booking and I can only access the "Manage Booking" area with my updated email. I put a complaint in using the updated email address, they sent the reply to the email address I no longer have access to and they are now telling me that I can't reopen my complaint unless I reply to the original email. Do these people have any brain cells? This is worst customer service I have ever encountered. I have already contacted Trading Standards regarding this business as I believe they are a sham company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Pay more to hire a car from a legitimate company rather than these people. You'll waste more energy trying to get your money back from them.
