Everything About Getsporting.com Smells Of A Scam. Beware.
I went onto the getsporting.com website to enquire about booking tickets for the Rugby World Cup. Having spoken with the England RFU regarding tickets just the day before. I can assure anyone looking ot use this site that it is "unofficial" and should be avoided as they do not have the tickets in hand. They will try to source the tickets from the public after you pay them. So no guarantee of getting the tickets seated together or indeed even getting the tickets at all.
The RFU advised that if you buy tickets from a site like this there is a high likelihood that your tickets will be cancelled. They also advised that there is a limit on the the number of tickets than can be purchased by any one person and that they must be registered on their ticketing website or must be purchased from an Official Agent. getsporting.com is not one of them.
They also advised new laws are coming in that will mean anyone selling a ticket on a secondary site such as getsporting.com will have to provide details of the seat row and number, as well as the face value, by law.
The website lists an office address. No such office exists for this business at this upmarket London address. Just part of the scam to suck you in.
They are not registered in the UK for VAT. As their Invoice doesn't provide details of this. Yet they claim to be a UK business and have you bank the money to a UK bank account at the HSBC. They could very well be money laundering or using the proceeds of their activities for funding terrorism.
Do not hand over cash to this website operator. There is an extremely high likelihood that you will never see it again. Be very, very careful. Spread the word to stop[ others becoming victims to this scam.

Getsporting.com Ticket Scamers
Do not hand over your cash. You'll never see it again.
The address on Invoice issued by this website as their registered business address is false. They use a high profile London address at: Number 1, Royal Exchange, London, EC3V 3LT, United Kingdom to make it look legitimate. They don't even have a business or office registered at that address.
No VAT number on the Invoice issued even although the bank account you must pay the money into is in the UK and the business is offering VATable service via its website. Could be money laundering or even funding terrorism from the proceeds of their touting activities.
There is no business or company registered to this website. Only an individual using a free email address out of the USA to set up and register the domain and the website is hosted in the Netherlands and not the UK where the website says it is based.
The "guarantee" they claim in their Terms & Conditions is not worth the paper it is written on as there is no registered business or company you can go after when your tickets don't arrive.
Also -- they claim to be able to sell you large numbers of tickets for the Rugby World Cup 2015 all sitting together. The RFU says this is not possible through secondary agents (unofficial touts like: getsporting.com) as the number of tickets any one member of the public could buy are limited and you need to be registered to obtain tickets. In short -- they don't have the tickets in hand they claim to be selling.
The RFU also says that it will cancel any tickets bought from unofficial sources for more than the original face value. The website offers a large discount for cash payments directly into the bank account they provide. This is part of it as there is no recourse when your tickets don't arrive.
Be very, very careful.
Don't Buy Tickets From Getsporting.com
Invoice issued without VAT number. Even though the money needed to be paid directly into a UK bank account. Could be money laundering or to be used to fund terrorism from the proceeds of the ticket sales.
Company address in London didn't check out at: Number 1, Royal Exchange, London, EC3V 3LT, United Kingdom. Looks like it was used to provide some credibility. The business is not registered and doesn't have an office at this address.
The website is hosted in the Netherlands and registered to an individual and not a business. The email address used to register the website is a free email address out of the USA (a legit company or business would have a proper email address when they register their website domain).
Terms & Conditions look like a cut and paste job, with spelling mistakes and conflicting terms and conditions. Guarantee provided not worth the paper it is written on as the business has no know physical address or legal structure in place (so who is giving the guarantee and how do you get your money back if they don't deliver?).
Calls received by me from the business were from an unidentifiable phone number. Emails received had loads of spelling mistakes. The guy who wrote them had his email set up as "Antony Cheriton" and then signed off the email as "Anthony Cheriton". No reviews by any reputable website that does reviews of these types of online businesses on this website.
Be very, very careful. You will never see your money again.
