Spectacle Warehouse advertises an excellent customer care and the person who runs the practice calls himself the most highly respected optical technician in UK today, renowned for his attention to detail and always putting the customer first. The website also states that they have a vast amount of experience in the manufacturing and supply of prescription and non-proscription spectacles. I have decided to purchase varifocalfreeform lenses from Spectacle Warehouse, which supposedly give high resolution vision, eliminate corridor vision, give greater comfort to the wearer, and quicker user adaption as compared to traditional, progressive lenses.

Nothing is as it seems, and nothing could be further from the truth. They certainly do not put the customer first and are not willing to take any responsibility for the fact that the lenses they supply are of a very poor quality. It took me a long time to discover what sort of lenses were fitted into my frames because the company would not provide any information, despite many requests. They advertise high quality freeform lenses, which are supposed to eliminate corridor vision, and supply poor quality lenses (not recognised by any respectable optician) with a very narrow close focal area (corridor vision).

They do not have sufficient experience to supply correct lenses to their customers. They do not provide any service guarantee to customers and when you complain directly to Spectacle Warehouse your e-mails and letters are totally ignored.

I ended up having to purchase another set of lenses, so if you do not want to have to pay twice for your lenses do not use this company
