UNETHICAL

Boots Opticians deliberately gives you half a prescription in order to force it's customers into only purchasing their overpriced glasses and lenses which, which quiet frankly is disgusting. The staff should also be ashamed of themselves knowing this and willingly ripping off customers.

Very focal lenses from Boot are £299 just for the lense and then you are looking at on average another £70 for a ropy piece of plastic to house them in order to balance them on the end of your nose.

There are retailers out there who supply lenses and glasses for half the price, companies like Goggles4U and Selectspecs.

I can get 2x pairs of verifocals and a pair of polarised prescription sunglasses for £195 including delivery with a 30 day money back guarantee. But thanks to Boots refusing to complete their prescription (let's be honest;it's blatant unethical practices) by including the pupil distance (PD) you are then unable to purchase affordable accurately made glasses for a company that is affordable.

This is disgusting shame there isn't a way to report this and action taken for malpractice and poor service.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE CRIMINALS, DO NOT SUPPORT ANY PART OF THEIR BUSINESS OR STAFF

Exceptional service

I have visited Boots Opticians Colchester on 3 occasions, twice for me and once with my Husband. All occasions the staff have been friendly, polite, knowledgeable and professional.

On my first visit the optician was very professional on carrying out my eye test. Yesterday I came in to purchase a 2nd pair of glasses, this time sunglasses and again friendly, polite and professional. Thank you to you all.

I visited your Carlisle opticians to look for polarised sunglasses. Amy came over to help me. She adjusted my existing ray ban sunglasses and was very helpful. Excellent assistant.

Boots Swindon Opticians

I recently visited the facility after many years with another supplier who continued to disappoint, my loyalty was clearly misplaced.

First the eye test, diagnosed and explained a long standing condition clearly. After choosing a pair of sunglasses I was measured up by the opticians who highlighted an anomaly that had clearly been missed by others causing many years of poor optical performance. This after using top of the range Zeiss lens and other leading brands.

My new prescription arrived and it was checked and fitted at my request. The outcome was excellent, for the first time a result. All this simply because of a slight ( 2mm) offset in one eye had not been accommodated either in measurement, manufacture or lens fitting.

All credit to Boots, I will be back !

Always a Pleasure

I visited Boots Horncastle yesterday after nearly a year of eye problems resulting in Eye Surgery. As usual I was given a warm welcome and cheery faces.

She was very patient in helping me choose my new Frames.

Altogether a very pleasant visit from everyone.

Thank you

Dissapointing Customer Service

Boots opticians Havant appointment with the optometrist was absolutely fine it was the sales staff where I encountered a problem. So much so I cancelled my £300 order and advised my friend and partner who were also due for a check up to go elsewhere. The initial sales consultant a lovely young lady helped me choose my glasses, I ordered 3 pairs. I then received a phone call, from a male member of staff, to say they had all arrived only to find one pair had arrived. 2 days later I had to return to collect the remaining 2 pairs. One pair had extremely heavy and thicker lenses which I should have been advised of and offered a thinner lens option these also had a 'bubble' on one lens. The male sales assistant confirmed there was a problem and arranged to have them returned and said because of the inconvenience he would arrange thinnner lenses at no extra cost. I was then contacted by this assistant to say the lenses had been returned and they could find no fault, I said ok but have I been given thinner lenses to which he denied all knowledge of our conversation. I asked for the Manager to call me and 3 days later I had still not heard. I went into the store and said in view of such a poor service (by this time I was on trip 5 to the shop) I would like a refund. The male assistant didn't even question why or try to help me but said he could only refund 2 pairs as that's all I was returning. I politely pointed out that they had the 3rd pair to which he denied implying I must still have this pair as he couldn't see them in the store. I said they should definitely be here and he became agitated and rude until a lovely lady sales assistant stepped in to help. She swiftly found the glasses and arranged the refund. She said I hadn't been called by the sales manger because they had 6 stores to look after, I said that wasn't really my problem and a phone call could have saved the return of my order. I feel the male sales assistance was very rude and inexperienced with sales etiquette.

Glasses Frames Very Low Quality

Had my glasses for 1 year and 3 days before the arm fell off, hardly ever wear them as I only use them for watching tv so took them back to the boots store that I purchased them from but not interested in helping ? I have cheap £10 glasses I purchased from supermarket and use daily for work that are still perfectly good ……

New Customer To Boots Opticians

I attended the Boots opticians in Scunthorpe . The staff were very friendly and professional. I saw the advisor on my arrival who booked me in and took details from me. She was very nice . I had the test which was very well conducted and professionally carried out. After the test I was helped in selecting the chosen glasses and arrangements made for the collection.

Boots Opticians Ashby De La Zouch

Very thorough eye test (following cataract operations and cornea graft).

Choosing and fitting of frames was made easy by a very helpful staff member.

I have used this branch for many years but this was my best experience to date.
