Even if you are a seasoned programmer and don't want to rewrite the wheel from scratch, don't choose valueweb.
The main issue that you will run into is incompetent and rude customer service.
Another big issue, is the domain name. Every time you go to say www.somesite.com, the web store program will redirect the store to a URL that is something like http://store.valueweb.com/store/uname/servlet/storeFront
that is very unprofessional and search engines will avoid your site like the plague, we have been up for four months and lost more money paying for the service and marketing than we have earned.
Very bad investment and an even worse choice.
This is an ebay company, one would expect more from it.
