Don't even bother with Student Web Hosting. This was at one point a nice start-up company that had good, personal customer service. Over a number of years, leading up to 2008, the service got worse and worse - frequently the billing portal would be offline, but support tickets would be ignored and then suddenly my service would be cut off for failing to pay - despite the fact that I actually couldn't! In summer 2008 the company was bought out by OSHS (Open Source Hosting Solutions) who promised to revamp the whole system - only to get right onto the task of completely ignoring tickets.

The site is completely opaque - there is no contact information and no way of talking to someone except through the support ticket system, which appears to be completely pointless as no-one bothers to answer the tickets. It's also very unclear who owns the thing - OSHS itself seems to be owned by someone else, and their various domains are all registered to different people.

In short, don't give them your money. You're unlikely to receive the service promised, and they will ignore you if you try to ask what's going on.
