When I started out as a freelance web designer there were so many "big" companies promising the earth, but charging a fortune I simpy couldn't afford. Additionally, I didn't really understand how all the server side stuff worked. I'd done enough research to know many website owners were unhappy with the level support they recieved (if any!) once they had bought their domains & paid for their hosting. Emails were mainly answered by mech or tech with no real substance or answers for any actual issue. I found QA purely by chance when my own provider fell ill & retired. That was around fifteen years ago & I'm happy to say I'm still hosting my own website with QA, in addition to being confident in recommending QA to all my clients. I've now been a freelance web, graphic & print designer for two decades & in such a fast moving industry, QA have kept up with global shifts. As a freelancer I *need* to know any company I recommend will deliver to the same standards as I do & QA Webhosting have been faultless. They have explained (often late at night) things I didn't understand & have provided astronomical support, far exceeding what their cost effective services suggest. Adore this company.

Firstly, most of these reviews are over five years old - hardly fair on any small company considering its now September 2012.

Secondly, - you know this is a small webhosting business, it's honest in it's capabilities & prices reflect that.

Thirdly, I've used QA since 2003 & I get more than what I pay for. Annual hosting is £35 & the option of "lifetime hosting" is a massive bonus for small start up business which I am able to pass onto my clients (for what it's worth, I bought my own "lifetime hosting" in 2003 too - yes, every now & then I get a few hours downtime, at most a day every 6mths. I paid £85 back then & have had a minimum of 94% up time.

Not only this, but (as a web designer with limited knowledge of server/backend stuff) right from the start QA were more than willing to help, answered emails (still do) within a few hours & solved any issues asap. Support is second to none.

Why not support small business who place great care on their clients, rather than hold very old & invalid reviews of them.

QA offer a superb service for any small to medium business looking for web hosting - they provide the same web tools & gizmo's as every other hosting client (since they all run the same software - honestly, do a google for "cPanel") ...

I would only consider using a different hosting company for a client that required massive downloads/uploads - everything else (including e-commerce) works just grand.

For anyone whose website has commercial value, QA Web Hosting is not a viable choice in our view. The service was in effect free in our case, having made a one-off payment for a lifetime service. However, even then, we could not afford the service in terms of its unreliability causing complete loss of emails and web presence for days at a time.

I have been with QA web hosting for far too long in the end they were useless.

No investment from QA Web Hosting in service = poor service

I have been with QA for a number of years and have a number of sites with them, some my own and some for small businesses I advise - they are small and friendly, they use CPanel for the back end which is easy to configure. They are also excellent value and provide a service that others offer for a lot more money - if you have a high bandwidth site though they are probably not for you.

I am very surprised at the comments made by the other reviewers on this site. I used QAWebhosting to host my business website from Oct 03 to July 05. I found their main site very easy to use and the links/control panel design suited my needs as a first time web-marketeer very well. Could not fault the level and speed of support during the setting up process while I was making some very basic errors. My contact at QA demonstrated an enormous amount of patience with me.

This is a very risky host to use if you need a reliable and professional service. The services that are promoted at QAWebhosting is not necessarily whats available.

I'm finally moving on from QA Webhosting (www.qawebhosting.com)after a year with them and the main factor is their down times! Their servers are never up and running to me it almost seems like the business is run by one person and that person can never be bothered to do work on the servers in the evening. So consequently my business is interrrupted by lack of email and web page its useless.

I feel very angry with them and even after sending them an email to ask what was going on they didn't even send me back an excuse. There isn't a support line. The facilities they claim to have don't work and my advice to anyone thinking of joining them is leave well alone!!!

Your better spending more money on a reputable firm and at least able to get access to your own email. I would love to hear from QA Webhosting for an explanation, I've paid money to have no service whatsoever, but until I do I will continue to review them badly!!!
