Netfirms charged me for a year of hosting under the Advantage plan. I then find out that for the past 8 months all of my sites have all been down, all the data is lost, and there is no way for me to restore it. These people don't seem to care about their customers as long as they get their money. STAY AWAY! BUYER BEWARE!

There customer service was bad through the entire thing they were not helpful. Not to mention uptime and errors, in a period of two months they were down for 4 days in my experience therefore I do not recommend Netfirms.

If you just want a web site that is not too heavy on file size, and one that just presents a basic site then Netfirms is for you.

I have used it on and off for various web sites for ten years, and they have always been there for me.

I use Frontpage, and the extensions for that program are installed for free.

You can have as many free sites as you want. I lost count of what I had.

Try it, you have nothing to lose.

I have a couple of websites. I use tons of bandwidth. Dedicated hosting is probably the best but expensive too. So I tried to stick with different accounts of share hosting. I tried Bluehost, they offer ssh access which I needed, seems reliable and customer service is excellent. However, they offer only 250G of bandwidth. I tried Global (which by far the worst one), lunar pages (which seems to have the best speed, but offer 400GB, no ssh access). Finally I found NetFirms. First, I thought It was a webscam, since the company is located in Canada, but I spoke to them and got some confidence. So I bought my first package, it was an awesome experience, so I bought another one. Best part of their hosting is its clustered, so I am getting the speed and resource of entire netfirms, instead of single server. So if you need, more disc space, more bandwidth, and decent speed, try Netfirms.com.

I was looking for a reliable cheap hosting company which had MySQL, PHP support features, and also had features for supporting heavy traffic and a large hosting space.

Netfirms seemed to offer everything I was looking for. Additionally, their simple and easy to use control panel was an incentive, which came without me asking for it. Simply superb!
