Horrible Company

Horrible company! Have been a customer since 2007 and tried to change contact email on a domain that I've had on my account since 2008. They kept making me jump through hoops for 3 weeks only to inform me that they needed "additional proof" that I was the owner of the domain. Hello? Check your records! I've renewed the domain for the past 8 years with Hostmonster! RUN, don't walk from this company. SO NOT WORTH the frustration and wasted time trying to resolve a simple request to change an email address.

I Used Just Host For One Year And Will Never Go Ba

I used just host for one year and will never go back. Although it is hard to find a good hosting company, just host is doing good for know. My problem with hostmonster was that their servers seem to go down one a month.. That is an issue for any one running a website.. Although justhost service went down for a few days its better then once a month. I would stay far away from this service until they fix the issues with their servers or get people who know what they are doing there..

I've Had Two Sites Hosted With Hostmonster For Abo

I've had two sites hosted with Hostmonster for about 18 months. On paper their offering is very good - low prices with large bandwidth/diskspace allowances.Unfortunately they have proven to be entirely uninterested in providing customer service. They have arbitrarily suspended accounts on several occasions for extremely minor terms of service disputes. The nature of the dispute is to do with keeping a week's worth of snapshots of the hosted site's mySQL database available - nothing to do with hosting objectionable content or illegal activities or anything. They make no attempt to contact you before suspending your account, which was especially disappointing the second time having reached a compromise allowing for a limited range of backups with them the first time. To put this in context, at its worst the whole site was consuming 500M of the 1.5TB (yes, really) that the control panel claims you have at your disposal.

I Was Very New At Webdesign When I Chose Www.hostm

I was VERY new at webdesign when i chose www.hostmonster.com. It was the best choice i could have made. I didnt even know what FTP was, and when i called support, they were so helpful, they even gave me DREAMWEAVER TIPS which is well beyond their scope of NEED to know stuff. I was VERY happy with that first call to them, and have been VERY happy ever since.

You will ALWAYS get a live person on the support line, any time of day or night and they are ALWAYS knowledgable people. I have not used the online chat that often, but the one time i did, i got a trainee, but the supervisor came in rather quickly to help out with my issue.

I have not experienced any email or website downtime in the past 1 1/2years and will definitely be renewing my site come the 2 year mark. I also just moved my husbands site over to hostmonster as well, as i am VERY VERY happy with them.

100% supported by me

In General Hostmonster Is Recommended If You Have

In general Hostmonster is recommended if you have technical knowledge of how to host a site and start building it. If you are a complete novice, I'd say you stay away, or bring your neighbourhood internet guru to help you out.

If you have limited budget, but need to host several websites, Hostmonster is for YOU - because for just $6.95/month, you can host any number of websites and Hostmonster will not be reminding you for payments every week. Your site will hardly ever be down if it is hosted with Hostmonster (meaning, it will hardly occur that people cannot see your site, and see an error message instead).

If you are in a soup, do not expect Hostmonster to solve it; because they don't. Either it gets solved by itself in course of time, or your internet guru buddy solves it in exchange of a pint of beer; or you just abandon Hostmonster and sign up with some other service.

So, those were the pros and cons; the choice is yours!

I Recently Signed Up For Hostmonster. Got A Domain

I recently signed up for hostmonster. Got a domain name and the extra stuff they offered. While trying to use the software provided to design a web page, I ran into some difficulty. Not knowing if it was the limitation of the software or my lack of knowledge of the capability, I emailed support. Four days later, it bounced back. Since then I've tried numerous times to contact them by phone only to get a busy signal. If you're the type that needs customer support in a timely manner like I do, skip hostmonster. I'm still waiting a response regarding canceling my account.
