Run Far Away From This Host
They moved my site to a new server recently without telling me and completely lost all data. They claim they sent me an email about it, but I don't delete email since I don't need to and it's definitely not in there. Here's a helpful bit there support had for me: "If any of the files/updates are missing, you are required to restore the data from your local backups." Yeah, people do hosted solutions for a reason, so they DON'T need to worry about that junk. They closed 2 tickets on me already with no solution. I'm stuck with having to redo the site from the project repository code I have and just have to call the databases a complete loss. I'm definitely finding a different java host and I recommend you do the same.

"The Worst Customer Support Ever!"
I was just like you looking for a cheap Tomcat web-hosting service, and ordered 14-days trial (Shared Tomcat) at Hostjava.
Now, I am relieved I chose a trial, because the guy at the customer support is just horrible! I could imagine how stressful it would be if I purchased their service.
I tell you why.
Below is how I treated at Hostjava, and drove me nuts.
1) They (or He) never pick up phone.
2) They (or He) respond ticket slow.
3) They (or He) say "Online Chat is for Sales Only" and leave chat when several questions are asked.
4) They (or He) say "I resolve the issue" and "I can not say ETA."
(...well, is it fixed or what? And, It never get fixed.)
5) They (or He) close ticket even though the problem is not resolved.
Also, I must remind you 24-Hour support never exists.
I think there is only one person works there.
So,
It might look attractive (price & service) on homepage but it never compensates an extreme stress the customer support guy delivers you.
My last word is...Don't Waste Your Time On Hostjava!

I Found It A Bit Challenging To Find A Host For A
I found it a bit challenging to find a host for a Tomcat application that I had built (and which needed a better home than my old PC). Reviews for each hosting company tend to vary widely. I went with hostjava.net because they offered a free trial. I have now shifted to a paid site and I am quite satisified. First - they are legit - in a world that may be filled with scams. Second - support was helpful - even during my free trial period. My needs weren't particularly urgent, so a 1-2x per day response worked fine for me. And it turned out that my issue was my own fault, yet they were still helpful. All in all, check them out, the price is great so the risk is low.

I had high hopes with this Host Java service...worked fine for like 15 days..and on one saturday suddenly my website stop working..I made sure my tomcat and everything was running okay...then I realised that their own site is also down. After trying for an hour realised only support site for some reason is up..so, I opened up a ticket...and as I am writing this...service is still down..and haven't heard anything from them..it's been 16 hrs so far.
I hosted this site for my client and he is really upset..we paid around 70 dollars for private tomcat and extra space..very poor customer service..seems like no one is there during weekend..

Plesk, Good Faq And Documentation, Mapping Tools Y
Plesk, good FAQ and documentation, Mapping tools you can add mapping to Apache by yourself. As I remember 4 guys are working on chat and they provide 27/4 support.
I started with private tomcat with them. I installed Grails and everything is working like a charm.

Worst Customer Support. They Will Not Respond To Y
Worst customer support. They will not respond to your queries and would close the tickets. Everything can be done by customer support only...no control panel provided. Even to make a new PHP or java application run you need to ask the customer care to create a new database and then make an entry into some file of there's...without this your application would not run.
And over this they will respond after 5-6 hours of raising the ticket....sometimes they respond after 22-24 hours also...your business suffers then let it suffer....how does that matter for them. They are god only for first 14 days - trial period.
