I'm out of the office three days a week with meeting clients with different backgrounds and needs. Though I have my laptop with me I love my new hosted desktop from GoCloud. It means my office desktop, files AND applications are always with me - via the Internet!

I can even access my files when I don't have my laptop with me. The GoCloud hosted desktop is also accessible via a browser (I use IE) - so if a prospective client has an internet connection and a spare PC I can log on to my hosted desktop and like magic there is all my stuff just as I left it. I can then run PowerPoint presentations or even print off Word documents on the client's printer!

In fact the hosted desktop still has a bit of a wow! factor when I show clients what I'm doing.

I was recommended GoCloud by a friend so I thought I would return the favour an pass on the details.

It costs about £50 a month for one user - for that your get a remote Windows hosted desktop with Microsoft office installed and read to go. They have 24 hour tech support though I haven't needed it yet.

You rent the hosted desktop from a GoCloud partner - they're the ones who provide the backup and support - there is a map on the GoCloud website so you can choose a local firm if you want to.
