They take 6 days to install an SSL cert and then try to force you to pay $50 more to have it installed. We got so stick and tired of this hosting company, we wanted to transfer to a more reliable hosting company. Until this day they deliberately held our domain name hostage and refused to unlock it.

Their support site goes down every day, their main site goes down every day, it takes 15 minutes from the press of a button on their site to go to another page.

If you have a base account you cant even talk to these people in a chatroom, you have to buy the most expensive package just to chat with them ona chat window.

We urge you people to spend abit more money

I never believed online review, but with 3ix proven over and over again that they fail to do their job. I draw the line when my site is hacked, and the reply is "we restarted the firewall and you won't face this problem anymore" Guess what, it still got hacked after less than 3 days. With all the password change it didn't make much difference. 3 days to crack 10 digit combination of alpha numeric and symbol? I doubt that is the point of entry. Downtime are ignored most of the time if no complains are made. Apparently they only have the "firewall to blame every time something goes wrong". I found a cheaper and more secure hosting company.

This company is a scam. They send out ficticious invoices in the hope that you pay them. Do not respond to them or pay them. I have alerted Trading Standards about them.

Yes they are cheap! But at what cost? I had their unlimited websites package. At first, everything seemed great. But then, my first ever website got hacked within 2 months of 1 yr contract with 3ix. And apparently there were a lot of people whose websites got hacked too (I found that in various forums). And their customer service was just really bad! They didn't reply to any of my emails for more than 1.5 days and then when they did, they still didn't inform me that their server got compromised. However, after another long day, they did tell me FINALLY that they got hacked! Took another day to get the backup which was weeks old! After that, there were problems all around.

So I decided to switch as soon as possible, although I still had 8 months worth of contract active! After switching to Netcetera.co.uk, I feel the difference, although Netcetera could be better in some regards but atleast they are a lot more secure and much better customer service. I have been with Netcetera for more than a year now and never really had much trouble...

2 domains hosted at 3ix . Reasonable price but poor server reliability on one of the domains and extremely poor support - 'Live Chat' was a laugh!

Second domain was significantly better (on a different server)

2 sites with 3ix. Depending on which server they put you on, either totally unreliable up time or good up time. Their 'support' is rubbish too

'Live Chat':

Me (opener) "Web/FTP/Email and Control Panel on xxx.com down again"

Agent: "Hello - I am reviewing your query"

Agent: "How can I help you"

Me "Have you reviewed my query?"

Agent: "One moment"

Agent: "There is no problem with the server"

Me "Web/FTP/Email and Control Panel on xxx.com are still down"

Agent: "There is a problem with the server. Our technicians are working on it"

I will not be renewing this contract.

Cheap, Prompt and intelligent customer service (thats rare nowadays!). Think they are great! I run 3 sites from UK with 3ix. I have absoloutely no truck with them, the customer service has been brilliant, sites are never down - and their prices are brilliant. I get all 3 hosted for £12 for 6 months! 10 databases etc etc.

Cheap, with live web technical chat to express problems to. Lots of problems, mail server keeps getting corrupted, hosting site for domains goes down. Very undependable. Will be switching to a different hosting site when current contract runs out in December. Therefore I do not recommend 3ix.org.

Well, 3ix.org web hosting are dirt cheap. I bought the $3 a month plan with 'unlimited' bandwidth, and it's working out great for me in the long run. However, At first, my site would go down randomly. I had a horrible first week of service, and reaching technical support was near impossible. After that nightmare, though, my site had almost constant uptime and was fast. Its worth 3 dollars a month.
