The Support Either Ignore You, Pretend Nothing Is
The support either ignore you, pretend nothing is wrong, or pretend the issue is resolved. They are useless, my hosting hasn't worked properly for over 6 months now.

I Have Used 123-reg For A Couple Of Years And Foun
I have used 123-reg for a couple of years and found their facilities pretty good. UNTIL NOW, the first time I have required their support. I have never written a review such as this but for 123-reg to use the word 'SUPPORT' is a complete joke. I raised a problem with their so called Support team over 5 weeks ago and each time it is closed by them as 'resolved' without anyone coming up with anything remotely resembling support or a reply to my issue. I have since raised further support logs only to have these closed as well without any explanation. Use 123-reg by all means but if you're looking for decent support I seriously recommend looking elsewhere.

123-reg.co.uk. need to sort their act out. My email has been down for almost 2 days. They are aware, but obviously other peoples businesses are of no concern to them.
To be fair, they've been ok for about 1 year, but clearly when they get into trouble, they don't have the team to fix quickly enough.

These guys are cheats,con men and whatever else I can think of, they renewed a domain without my ok, their answer is because my card details were stored thats an automatic renewal, I have reported them to Visa for fraud and tomorrow i going to their offices to confront them.

Although very good at domain provision and registration, 123-reg are very poor, particularly since the recent merger with WebFusion, at providing technical support for anything more than basic queries.
Certainly they are cheap and offer both *nix and MS hosting. However, I am a (web application) developer and as such require that tech support understand the platform for which I am developing. I have had the distinct impression over the last few years that very few of the tech support personnel actually understand what I am asking - particularly if it is clearly a platform (rather than my code) issue...
In summary, if you mant to buy a domain and easy, cheap hosting for it, that does not use anything other than the pre-packaged features then perhaps consider them. However, if you are at all interested in DIY server-side coding (asp, .net, perl - I tried them all...) then look elsewhere.

A Shocking Rip Off Company. Auto Renew Is Hopeless
A shocking rip off company. Auto renew is hopeless, they have taken over £130 from me without my consent to hosting, avoid at all costs. They won't refund me even though I don't use/need/want the service, not even a rebate! Going to watchdog..

Avoid 123-reg at all costs. Their policies and procedures on auto renewal are a shambles leading to significant customer disadvantage. It is not a happy experience trying to deal with their so called 'Support' team in order to get actions they have taken corrected. Remember they 'do not give refunds'. That says it all!

Expect to get ripped off on auto renew - if there are services or domain names you no longer need they will ignore any requests not to renew and you will get billed - Buyer Beware!! They will not refund !! DO NOT GO HERE!!

Im Only New To The Whole Website Domain Thing, And
Im only new to the whole website domain thing, and i was recommended 123-reg because its apparently the most popular. doesn't mean its any good though. I cannot even update my website because everytime I sign in to use ftp I only usually gain access for about 20mins they then sign you off and when you try to sign in again using the same username and password they don't allow it.. it has happened to me every day I've used it and when it does happen there's nothing you can do but give up for the day because you have no way of accessing your files as you keep getting signed out and shown error messages when you try to sign in again.. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.. you might seem to be getting the best price, but the worst service REALLY!..

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I HAVE NO CHOICE THEY BOUGHT OUT THE COMPANY I WAS PREVIOUSLY WITH.
THE EMAIL SERVICE FAILS AND TO GET SUPPORT I HAVE TO PHONE THE UK ON A PREMIUM RATE CALL FROM THE US OR WRITE TO THEM.
IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE SOMETHING ON YOUR HOSTING I.E. your MX RECORDS , you have to log into a control panel and change it. who in this world knows about MX records? not me.... NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
