I have been with them for quite a long time, about 3 years so the service doesn't change over time. I started as a newbie to creating websites, hosting them etc I can honestly recommend Powered by penguina as everything is explained simply and really you cannot go wrong!

Its not very often I find a company good enough to feel that I need to write a good review but this time I simply feel obliged. The service I've received is excellent right from the start. I got in touch with the guys before hand as I had some queries about security and billing, something my last host seamed to not deam very important. On two occasions I've had a call back from Paul and Lee who answered all of my questions precisely and in a timely manner. My mind was soon at ease and an account created. No looking back now, and no need too. My site is quick and I had WordPress installed within minutes by using the control panel, it was even the latest version of WP. I had a hunger for a big email service. So getting back in touch with Powered By Penguins it was decided that a good FREE service to use was Googles Gmail for business. This would give me active-sync on my phone as it is an exchange service. And this was totally free - again back to the class pbp control panel in there is a setting to divert all email to Google apps... as simple as 123 Excellent - top class best host I've ever used are a few words to portray Powered By Penguins

As a complete beginner in the creation of a website I have to say using PbP and WordPress has been a breeze. Before signing up with PbP I did a little research and thought WordPress would give me the flexibility to grow the site. A conversation with a real person at PbP reassured me and I signed on with PBP providing domain name and a free download of WordPress just by pressing a few buttons. I found a highly rated guide to WordPower on Kindle WordPress to Go by Sarah McHarry for only £3.23 and after the £25 annual subscription to PbP, including domain name this was a great investment. Within a day I had a functioning website for the Oban Music Society. By using a recommended plug in I set up key words for the site to help raise its web profile. Then I pressed the button on the PbP Control Panel that notified Search engines of the new web site and within 4 days we appeared on Google. If you wish to view the site created (it has grown a little since day one) try www.obanmusicsociety.org or just Google oban music site or similar. I am certainly more than happy to recommend Powered by Penguins and will investigate your affiliate scheme. I would suggest that that you put a reference to Sarah McHarry's book on your site for those downloading WordPress despite the relatively accessible WordPress Codex site guide. Really pleased so far. Contacted support and got a reply in 10 minutes, and on a Sunday too!! I wanted to make my wordpress site a little quicker so Lee suggested I used a plugin called quick cache, he also made an alteration to my site, which has made it even quicker!!! Great price too!! Faced with having to change from a free webhost which would soon stop being free, I emailed Ian Mansbridge who recommended Powered By Penguins. I decided to give it a go (not least because I used to live in West Cumbria). I've been delighted with the helpful, friendly replies and the willingness of the team to help personally with awkward problems caused by the transfer of the website from the previous host. I chose Powered by Penguins partly for the cost, and partly for its name! However, it has turned out to be an excellent choice - I'm not particularly good at internet related things, but the PbP team are extremely helpful, answering all questions quickly and in a way that is easy to understand. I've had no problems at all with the hosting service - it all runs very quickly, and hosts my Wordpress site flawlessly. All in all, highly recommended, and at a bargain price! Very happy with support recieved but still have a few niggles... for instance as a beginner I would like to know how I can get my site to notify me directly to my "Own e-mail account" when someone registers on my site without having to go into web builder and go to the page to find out. If anyome can help me with this it would be much appreciated(or without having to use my "Stats" link.

We moved our website to PoweredByPenguins.co.uk because our previous hosting provider's service was slow with high latency and kept crashing. Since moving to PBP our website and forum have been extremely quick, the latency is very low and we've had no crashing. The services provided are much broader than we previously had and and considerably cheaper too. I would recommend PBP to anyone.

We signed up with PbP as we wanted a comprehensive web hosting service, and this has certainly proved to be the case. We are not hugely technical people, but by using MS Publisher we were able to come up with a website which we were happy with. Loading the website up to the server took two attempts the first time, but once I'd read the help page it wasn't difficult at all. The signing up process was very simple, and we had no problems with that at all. As our business grows, we will have further service requirements (email exchange, FTP hosting, online payment etc.) and we will certainly contact PbP to ask all about this before we look elsewhere. All in all, very happy. And you can't fail to love the penguin. Maybe you should send customers a cuddly toy penguin? After all, it seems to work with Meerkats!

I chose Powered by Penguins based on their positive reviews and am glad that I did. Although I am fairly new to web-hosting, the help guides provided are very clear, and make it very easy to get your site up and running, and uploading content has always been very quick. I have never needed to contact customer support, however I have every confidence that they would be helpful. A friend of mine was recently looking for help transferring her domain across to a new hosting service and I had no hesitation in recommending PBP - I have since heard from her that she has had a lot of support from them, and is delighted that I suggested them.

After I had experienced a few problems accessing my site, (the site access had been changed and I didn't have the current access details) I contacted the support team, who responded very quickly and provided the information I required. I was very impressed with the promptness and efficiency of the support I recieved. I recieved a reply within 5 minutes! I also like the management tools provided through cpanel, pretty intuitive and easy to use. I also like the FTP security features that can be configured through the management panel. Overall Im really happy with the level of service and the price I paid for the hosting of my site. Keep up the good work. Cheers Eddie

Very, very good. Price is right, the tech support is quick and effective and the user panel a doddle to use. FTP is straightforward so no need for Filezilla etc.

I am in the process of moving my domain from Officelive & MelbourneIT to Powered by Penguins. I ran into some difficulty in transferring the domain. Paul at Powered by Penguins has been fantastic, responding to my queries immediately and talking me through the process. I couldn't praise him highly enough - he has been so helpful. Melbourne are still dragging their feet but at least Paul is there to keep me on track. For someone who is not a IT wizz Powered by Penguins is a god send. Highly highly recommended.
