I had a terrible experience and still ongoing battle with them who have no conscious, nevermind empathy or fairness. I bought travel plus insurance prior my flight. I had to fly to the Netherlands on 16th of March for a week to visit & care for my mum who lives with a lung cancer. Weekend prior my flight I was strongly urged by my family that Covid spread was high in The Netherlands and it was too higher risk for my mum, as she was in self-isolation. I was more worried picking up the virus and infecting my mum by travelling through airports, train/bus stations. When i filed a claim to get a refund, it was rejected. Euro assist insurance company said that flight wasn't cancelled, it was my personal decision not to travel. So even though I bought a travel plus insurance, I am not getting my money back. My advice is do not buy insurance from Euro Assist, they are total clowns. They shouldn't be in operation. Buy separately from more reputable insurance company, someone who doesn't dismis Covid-19 epidemic as personal choice not to travel, especially when I am visiting to care someone at high risk. Absolutely shocking experience
