Used Parclick to book a day's parking in Barcelona. Online booking was straightforward and trouble-free.

Instructions told us to park our car then go to the car park attendant's booth, where we would be given a card that would allow us to exit and re-enter the car park any number of times on that day. (As it was, we only wanted to park and leave the car - we had no intention of making multiple exits and entries.)

Anyway, the attendant looked at our reservation printout and looked confused, He tried calling someone on his phone, and continued to look puzzled. He then turned to a computer and attempted to log in to the Parclick system - but failed to do so.

Eventually, we were told (in Spanish) to return to the booth when we wanted to leave and the attendant would open the barrier. We got the impression he was just saying this to get rid of us, and we were worried a different attendant would be on duty on our return 10 hours later - and we'd need to explain things to them too.

So we didn't get a card. We did, however, get out the car park OK at the end of the day.

Online booking companies such as Parclick are fine, but only if the car parks they deal with are on the same page.
