Incredible to read these reviews - every one of them is 1 star or 5. And every 5 star review is from a unique reviewer that praises one particular feature of the 'superb' Switchmedia control panel Yeah, right - they're not written by employees then. As a customer for a few years I can confirm that the Control panel is almost completely useless unless you can work out unaided how to set up all aspects of your web usage. “Repeatedly suffer from delays in receiving emails”

I have been with easyspace for many years. They host my domain and email forwarding. But in recent months I have suffered repeated periods where emails (usually some rather than all) have been delayed in one of the easyspace servers, sometimes by up to 14 hours. I also fear that some emails have not been forwarded to me at all. Today's delays probably represent the last straw. “Really gone off!”

Been with them for 7 or 8 years and were ok until the last year or so. Up for renewal in mid May 2013. Since the middle of March have been hounded for renewal payments. Who pays two months in advance? Spoken to them twice about this and still the renewal invoices come through weekly at least. Beginning to wonder if they are financially sound… Read Full Review

“Customer service declined significantly ”

I have been a customer of Global Gold for a couple of years, and recently it has been a nightmare trying to resolve a relatively simple issue with their customer support team. A couple of examples: "Sorry the webmail system we have put on your managed VPS is not written by us so if you have problems it's nothing to do with us". Not really the point, is it - they are providing this as part of their package to me. Also being quoted £100 for one hour's work that I find out within 3 minutes… Read Full Review

Sign you up to a load of additional services without informing you (well possibly hidden in smallprint somewhere) Go to your billing and check straight away to see what tripe you have been signed up for and make them remove it if you didnt ask for it! Sorry to read your recent experience of Easyspace has been unsatisfactory.

Easyspace do offer promotional services and trial products at time of purchase as recommendations that we feel our customers may benefit from. These services can easily be removed from the order basket by clicking the red 'x' next to the item. Users are prompted with notifications when an order is submitted with a promotional item making them aware of the terms of that trial (trials are normally offered free for 30 days to try before upgrading to a premium paid service).

We ask all customers to double-check the order basket before submitting an order, review the generated invoices and report any discrepancies immediately to our team on 0370 755 5066 available Mon-Fri 9.00-530pm or by raising a support ticket via user control panel.

Seems im adding to the hundreds of bad reviews already here... I was automatically signed up for a load of bullshite that i didnt want and they claimed i had forgotten to untick the boxes. Sorry to read your recent experience with Easyspace has been unsatisfactory.

Inline with Easyspace terms and conditions all payments are final and no refund will be issued once services have been provisioned and used under any circumstances.

Please be aware Easyspace do offer promotional products and services including free trials however these can be removed at time of purchase or cancelled anytime during the free trial period before the service upgrades to a premium paid service.

“Was good, "upgraded" and now terrible”

We moved our forum over to Global Gold just over a year ago and I was immediately impressed with the service - a smooth changeover and staff who seemed switched on and knowledgeable. They were bought out by another company in Autumn 2011 and have since been merged into the larger company's datacentre, the migration was supposed to happen seamlessly overnight but my site was down for 6 hours during the business day and the problems haven't stopped since. “Easyspace renewal fees too high”

I've used Easyspace for several years and used to hold about 30 domain names with them. They used to be good, but since the IOMART takeover things have worsened. What I find particularly irritating is their excessive price gouging on .com domain renewal fees couple with and additional £3 fee for "manual renewal" each year for every domain. To move a domain name from them costs an additional £50 or so. Essentially in the long run I find them about twice the price of my regular domain hosting… Read Full Review

“EasySpace - 24 Hour Setup...”

Well, I recently purchased a Dedicated Server from EasySpace. Payment was taken, and an automatic e-mail advised me I would be recieving my details within 24 hours. As you can probably guess, this didn't happen. So begins my first correspondance with their support department, who, after 6 hours, advise me it'll be setup within another 24 hours. Having been with easyspace for many years I have just realised that it is worth a little bit of pain to get rid of this lousy company. “A overpriced host giving poor performance”

Easyspace are I believe based in Glasgow & owned by Iomart. I just read the last review & find the comments un-believable based on my own experience. Support: Poor & Very Slow. They take many hours to several days to answer a ticket. They also seem to struggle on anything but basic issues. Price: Expensive, their basic price isn't too bad, but when you add other things that you will need/want they all add to the price making it too high. My experience, up to two days to answer a ticket, usually at least one, and then some tech's seem not to understand the question, continues till you get one that does!!

As you refuse to fix issues through your ticket system its strange you make out you can through a review site.

PS Would your comment mean you would be prepared to drop the number of domains you put on a server to normal levels?

Further to this, Switch Media's support was ok but they made me feel as though they were doing a favour, when in fact, they did absolutely nothing to resolve the problem within the required SLA. Switch needs to get its act together re accounts Difficult to close the account and get transfer out code. No problem taking money from my credit card even after my account closure had been requested -several times - maybe thsi is all automated and not down to human intervention - however I found it unsatisfactory.

Signed up for web hosting around 10 years ago with a company (Nicnames I believe) that subsequently got taken over by Iomart and then Easyspace.

Have had issues in the past with email set-up, FTP and their awful control panel - the service is still incomplete i.e. unable to activate some of the features that we are paying for!

Have given up and will switch to a more professional provider at the end of the year. Must make sure that they don't auto renew.

The webhosting side of easyspace is fine - it seems to be reliable. The admin and help sides are terrible. There's no grace on bill payments, so if you're a minute overdue with payment, then down comes your site and it will be 24hrs before it's up again. They had me on the most expensive package, and when I changed they didn't tell me I would have to reconfigure my email forwarding. Could they help me? I asked. I have a number of domains with Easyspace. At the moment several of them are not responding and I can get no help whatsoever out of ESpace. They simply as far as I am aware not yet responded to Support tickets. If they occasionally do the advice on settings is useless.
Most of these problems started after BT's so-called "security upgrade" but I sorted that out without help from either ISP!
