I had to get 4 sim cards from tesco store cause I pay my bill but never get to use my services with my mega bits. Whan I phone them they say there a fault with my sim I had to change it 4 times. “Data Stung!”

Customer service is good, signal is good, prices are good. The big fat No No is the fact your data is eaten up in days, even when data is switched off Tesco still manage to allow you to go into your safety buffer! Ive seen this same problem highlighted in a lot of reviews of Tesco mobile, so its not just me imagining things! Ive since changed networks and i have no more data usage problems! “Network coverage appalling and often non-existent ”

I have a Tesco phone and the network in Haverhill and between Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds is virtually non existent which is dangerous if you are a woman travelling alone. I broke down at midnight and could not contact the AA because of this and had to walk to the nearest house a mile away. “Porting with tesco mobile”

I have recently bought an iPhone 4S from Tesco I was given a leaflet about how to transfer my old number on to my new phone as I was with orange before. This leaflet gave me some very simple steps but I had to wait a week until my number was fully ported. However, I am stil unable to receive texts and calls. “Good but be careful of contract terms”

In terms of service, tesco mobile has been excellent, probably because I have not been to an area where they have poor service. However, they do not offer perks to existing customers. You have to notify them that you want to upgrade after your contract expires or they will continue to take your money on an old phone. They will not even inform you that you are due for an upgrade. “Beware of the PAYG triple credit ”

At first glance the Tesco PAYG triple credit looks to good to be true - and it is! Although Tesco triple your credit e.g. £10 is topped up to £30, the bonus must be used within one month and calls are charged at 25p/min so your maximum call time is 120 minutes. However, if you only use £20 that reduces to 80 minutes and if you only use your original tenner in that month, you get a measly 40 minutes. Have been waiting for my number to switched to my micro sim for over 2 days now. They wont say what exactlt is wrong apart from systems are slow. Orange completes same operation in 2 hours. Tesco mobile are rubbish the advsors lie thru their teeth. The refuse to compensate. Refuse to write letter of apology (that would be admitting guilt).

“It could be so much better”

Never had a contract phone before and decided to get the Sony Xpreia Arc for £150 plus £20 per month. I have not suffered the wide range of problems others have had BUT.....two unresolved and frustrating issues remain. Not sure if it is O2 Network but in the middle of a conversation my phone disconnects. Have to redial. That happens regularly and to numerous callers/recipients. “Okay, but watch out for hidden extras”

On sim only pay monthly contract...cheaper than previous o2 similar contract. However, watch out, if you forward a few 'joke' texts on to friends, which are over 140 characters in length, Tesco will automatically count them as MMS rather than SMS & charge you 25p each message. (o2 used to just cout a MMS as 3x SMS from your allowance). Annoying having to either count your text lengths or use Handcent (which splits the texts in two). I joined Tesco by buying a PAYG 3G phone a year ago. Signal coverage has been very good and no problems with the service. I did find however that the promised free credit when topping up never happened.
Call and text charges are reasonable but I found using the web on my phone cost a fortune. When I checked why its so expensive I found Tesco charge £4.00 per 1MB of data !! compare this to ASDA PAYG who charge 20p per 1MB shows how much of a rip off Tesco are. I was with T-MOBILE, I Bought a Tesco Mobile Sim Card and it was barred by T-Mobile so then T-Mobile unblocked it for a rip off price they charged me £15 just for a code that can never be used again.

Soon as could put the sim card in my phone I didn't even need to register and the calls where cheap and toping up was simple.

But I registered anyway because you get better stuff.
