Written on: 19/08/2017 by Deano_79 (1 review written)

I had content insurance for near three years, I ended up losing my wallet which had just over £600 pound in it. Now the company said they would cover me up to £500 pound which I excepted, So they called me back the following day saying the wallet I had it in they needed to see the reciept for it, Which I applied to I have not got the receipt but what I could provide them with is a bank statement, But it's not good enough, Its a joke I would never go with them I have spent so much over the… Read Full Review

“Totally disgusted with My Home insurance policy”

Written on: 13/06/2017 by duHansen1975 (1 review written)

Wind damage 1 tile got blown off by wind. 1. Won't repair as wind speed was only 40 mph should be 55 mph to qualify? Stupid and who sets this criteria by the way? Have they not considered wind gust? They're stronger than normal wind speeds. 2. Secondly, won't repair or fix as I have not cleaned my gutters and done maintenance to my 14 yr old roof. Seriously in today's standard that is still classed as newly or recently built roof which looks new with no problem with drainage. 3. Thirdly… Read Full Review

“Overpriced, Overspecified, Oversold”

Written on: 09/02/2017

Sold a policy that was over specified for our needs. Made the mistake of trusting the advice given in branch as we had been a loyal customer for many years. We will never trust this bank again. Buyer beware, when dealing with this group!… Read Full Review

“Still waiting for claim to be settled after 10 weeks”

Written on: 31/01/2017

Swapped to Lloyds Home Insurance after searching comparison sites. Unfortunately 6 weeks later I needed to claim after a burglary. When making the claim I found the staff aggressive, as I was making a claim so soon after switching. My excess was taken the day of the burglary and the Insurance Asser arrived 2 days later. I was able to provide receipts and valuations for my missing items. Despite this I am still waiting for my claim to be settled and Goldsmiths (Lloyds contractor) have still not… Read Full Review

“Lloyds Bank Home Emergency insurance cover”

Written on: 01/12/2016 by exlloydscustomer (1 review written)

One simple piece of advice if you are considering taking out Lloyds Bank Home Emergency Cover- DON`T TOUCH IT. My central heating ceased to work on the 22nd November. I called Lloyds Emergency people who got a heating "engineer" to my house the next day. Simple repair, motorised valve needed replacing but he had to get "authorisation". Didn`t see anyone then until the 29th. when a different "engineer" turned up - with the wrong valve. Disconnected the old one, then went away and came back with… Read Full Review

Exlloydscustomer's Response to exlloydscustomer's Review

Written on: 07/12/2016

Further to that, it was fifteen days until my heating was fixed. The electrical bog up had fried the timer as well which meant a new one had to be obtained.
And to add insult to injury, I then I found out that ADM Heating of Newport had charged me £30 for the inhibitor which RETAILS at £9.50 - trade price less I would assume.
CET have offered £75 by way of "compensation" - that won`t even cover the cost of the extra 12 Kw of electricity I had to use every day for 15 days plus the cost of the inhibitor.

“Punished for Loyalty - Lloyds ripoff”

Written on: 05/11/2016 by gqFernandez318 (1 review written)

Had a Lloyds buildings policy for 14 years. Went up each year compounding considerably with no notification of this. Checked this years quote and was 320% of highest quote on money supermarket.com and 400% of current market quote from Lloyds themselves!! Challenged this with customer complaints and eventually told 'they were happy with the calculations'. Will be taking this to the FCA… Read Full Review

“Disgusting home insurance ”

Written on: 05/02/2016 by HG28 (1 review written)

They were charging my mother over £300 more for home and contents insurance, than a quote with them online, for years. She was not aware that they were charging for £5000 shed cover and for her making a claim within the last three years, which they were aware she had not, as she had been with them for longer than that period. When I realised this and contacted them they could not care less. I was sent a letter with numerous irrelevant excuses and then a leaflet to complain to the… Read Full Review

“Renewal price increases going ballistic.”

Written on: 13/12/2015 by JaylynnHampton (1 review written)

I have been with Lloyds TSB for household insurance for over 10 years. Just for the building, without any contents cover. I used to get a small, or no annual increase every year. Then in January 2015 the increase was 15%. OK I thought, not unexpected given the state of the economy. This year they have increased the renewal amount by 23%. Which makes the total increase 41.5% over 2 years! I will be on the phone to cancel… Read Full Review

“I have foolishly stayed with these awful company for...”

Written on: 23/11/2015 by quail39 (1 review written)

I have foolishly stayed with these awful company for the past 14 years. The reason was my ex partner took out the insurance and dealt with everything until he left. I admit to not checking out other comparison sites as I had a lot to deal with. I sadly lost a necklace which they did not pay out on. I did this year complain that my policy was overpriced and they maintain it is in line with market values. I have just had my renewal.....£1255 for buildings & contents. Look at a comparison site… Read Full Review

“Lloyds Home Insurance Over priced”

Written on: 03/10/2015 by Schaefer381 (1 review written)

I have had home insurance with Lloyds for 5 years and really did not even think to take a look at other Insurance Companies,as l bank with them, that was until l wanted to claim this week & told l was not covered, yet when l looked at the renewal cost this year l noticed it had nearly doubled to when l took it out. I have never claimed before!!! I looked at many companies and found that Saga were the best for me with the same coverage plus more, as it was their premium cover. The result for me… Read Full Review

“Will Never Recommend Lloyds to Anyone”

Written on: 03/10/2015 by upsetwithlloyds (1 review written)

I live in Southeast Texas. On April 27, we had a terrible hail storm. The storm was recorded on my alarm cameras. It took less than 7 minutes. A local roofing contractor told me that I had extensive hail damage to the roof of my house , shop and gazabo. Within a few days I had called my Insurance Agent and had her file a claim. A week or so later the adjuster showed up and verified that I had extensive damage to my roofs. I was told by an adjuster that the hail storm went throuh our city… Read Full Review

“Dramatically overpriced ”

Written on: 27/06/2015 by AidanGarner (1 review written)

Have been a "valued customer" of Lloyds Buildings and Contents insurance for many years and despite this and no claims their annual premium has escalated to over £800 which compared with other companies for identical cover is some £650 over the average. On contacting customer service I was advised that I would have been more beneficial taking out a different product but they could not advise me of this unless I complained about my current product. Even at renewal they were not "allowed" to… Read Full Review

“Wish I had gone elsewhere”

Written on: 28/04/2015 by Inkworm (1 review written)

My first time with Lloyds. Took out Buildings and contents insurance in February. Paid by direct debit. All fine until the policies arrived. My address on both the covering letters and policies themselves - London, Norfolk. How on earth can they get such a simple thing wrong? Phoned 6 times and on each posting out of replacement policies they are still wrong on every one sent. Have now written to customer complaints. Will not be using them again next year for certain… Read Full Review

“Extortionate Renewal Cost”

Written on: 07/03/2015 by Jakaylae17 (1 review written)

Had one claim 4yrs ago (£800), couldn't fault their customer services and quick payment. HOWEVER, this years renewal has come through at £945, after a phone call to them they've knocked £100 off. Comparethemarket.com gives me quotes from £150 upwards for the same level of cover, Lloyds is even on there quoting me £350. I'm appalled at this blatant rip off, will not be using them and would never recommend their house insurance to anyone… Read Full Review

“Home insurance ”

Written on: 05/12/2014 by qeFlores218 (1 review written)

WEll, accident happened. 3 electrical devices damaged at the same time (water). 1hr phone call everyday with questions about such details like "where was the top from the bottle at a time" with summary "I doubt this , i doubt that". then they send You to original shop to talk about repairs, photos of desk on which items were (!!!) etc. Advisors are harsh and unpleasant. Generally, if you have this cover and you think that you are covered - YOU ARE WRONG… Read Full Review
