December 6th 2021 LLOYDS EMERGENCY COVER Heating and hot water failed on Friday. Thought we cd sort it ourselves with a new part (husband is a handy engineer). It didn’t. Of course no electricians etc available over weekend. So the house got progressively colder and we relied on neighbours for showers. Stay away from this home insurance when it happens you have a claim there is no way to get anything back even with ironclad evidence through photographs showing clear evidence of damage and recorded bad weather conditions. They will always find an excuse that is not their responsibility or else. You will be paying for nothing, i incurred serious damage to the roof of the conservatory due to bad weather conditions and have to pay for all repairs by myself. Accidental damage claim to iPad thrown out on the basis that I had not specified value because it was deemed a high risk item. So watch out for TVs and jewelry etc. they won't pay out if you have not specified their value… Read Full Review

“Emergency Plumbing”

My claim was only partially approved for Plumbing. The plumber was going to come back on the original claim but did not. I then called and chased them 24 times over a 6 day period re CCTV and Jet water blasting of my main soil pipe as I understand they would honour the first £1000 of any claim. Not so. They eventually called back and said I must pay £370 or try my Buildings Policy with Lloyds. I had content insurance for near three years, I ended up losing my wallet which had just over £600 pound in it. “Totally disgusted with My Home insurance policy”

Wind damage 1 tile got blown off by wind. 1. Won't repair as wind speed was only 40 mph should be 55 mph to qualify? Stupid and who sets this criteria by the way? Have they not considered wind gust? They're stronger than normal wind speeds. 2. Secondly, won't repair or fix as I have not cleaned my gutters and done maintenance to my 14 yr old roof. “Worst Insurnace Company ever !!!!”

So we have storm damage on the roof , called the emergency number and get stung for £150 excess and the comment we are inundated with calls like yours since the storm ,,, what a surprise. wrong department they came out agreed storm damage and then Lloyds send somebody else and its wear and tear so e have closed the case. “Overpriced, Overspecified, Oversold”

Disappointing to read. Just about to renew my Lloyds policy, so am now worried.Checking review sites most insurers seem to get bad reports on claims. This is when you want them to help!!

“Still waiting for claim to be settled after 10 weeks”

Swapped to Lloyds Home Insurance after searching comparison sites. Unfortunately 6 weeks later I needed to claim after a burglary. When making the claim I found the staff aggressive, as I was making a claim so soon after switching. My excess was taken the day of the burglary and the Insurance Asser arrived 2 days later. “Lloyds Bank Home Emergency insurance cover”

One simple piece of advice if you are considering taking out Lloyds Bank Home Emergency Cover- DON`T TOUCH IT. My central heating ceased to work on the 22nd November. I called Lloyds Emergency people who got a heating "engineer" to my house the next day. Simple repair, motorised valve needed replacing but he had to get "authorisation". Further to that, it was fifteen days until my heating was fixed. The electrical bog up had fried the timer as well which meant a new one had to be obtained.
And to add insult to injury, I then I found out that ADM Heating of Newport had charged me £30 for the inhibitor which RETAILS at £9.50 - trade price less I would assume.
CET have offered £75 by way of "compensation" - that won`t even cover the cost of the extra 12 Kw of electricity I had to use every day for 15 days plus the cost of the inhibitor.

“Punished for Loyalty - Lloyds ripoff”

Had a Lloyds buildings policy for 14 years. Went up each year compounding considerably with no notification of this. Checked this years quote and was 320% of highest quote on money supermarket.com and 400% of current market quote from Lloyds themselves!! My 80 year old Mum has just had her buildings and contents insurance renewal £520 for a little 2 bedroom bungalow ! She has been with Lloyds for many years and never made a claim ,always doing a continual renewal. “Renewal price increases going ballistic.”

I have been with Lloyds TSB for household insurance for over 10 years. Just for the building, without any contents cover. I used to get a small, or no annual increase every year. Then in January 2015 the increase was 15%. OK I thought, not unexpected given the state of the economy. This year they have increased the renewal amount by 23%.
