Glowworm Ultracom 2 35 cxi Condensing Combi Boiler

Had this boiler fitted at end of August and so far it has worked absolutely perfectly. We had it fitted to replace our old inefficient boiler and system which used a storage tank. This boiler provides plenty of hot water and the difference it has made to the themostatic shower we have is amazing. It is like having a power shower but without the need for a separate pump. Central heating works fine as well and heats up quickly. It is also extremely quiet in operation and you hardly know it is on. I would have no hesitation in recommending this boiler.

We had this model fitted in October 2010 by a registered Corgi installer. Since that time it has failed 6 (yes, read it SIX) times. Each time the circuit board has simply packed in. The display on the front of the boiler goes blank - no heating or hot water. So glad we had an electric shower fitted in the house bathroom.

It has been repaired by British Gas or Glow-worm each time the last time on Thursday 24th Feb. It has gone again today (26th). We were told that the repair on the 24th was a new, updated circuit board because of problems with the original one. It seems to me that Glow-worm are feeding us a line... I don't think I believe them any more. I will be asking for them to remove it and refund us. We will be getting a different make. I will go to court if necessary.
