“Only pay via credit card - you’ll need the protection ”

TLDR: Always pay by credit card to protect against any of Parcelmonkey’s volatile terms and conditions. This way if the service is not as described, your credit card company can open a case against them to recover your funds. Don’t be fooled by their ‘you agreed to our t&c’s’ waffle - if their terms are dubious, they will not be upheld in court. They charged me ~£18 to send roller skates to Europe. I booked with parcelmonkey for shipping from the UK to Syria. The service they used was DHL. I have an account with DHL and I already know DHL will NOT ship to Syria due to the economical sanctions. I contacted parcelmonkey and asked if they really can ship to Syria and the agent said yes. I even explained to the agent about the sanctions and he confirmed they can ship to Syria. “Watch out for charges ”

I was charged double the initial cost after the courier claimed the package was over sized so the bill went from circa £40 to nearly £130!!!! If I wanted to dispute it I had to provide pictures of an item I’d shipped 3 weeks ago! How I was expected to find pictures and yet they accept no (zero) burden of proof I don’t know. Paid for 48 hour delivery, our boxes arrived 3 days late. This we could cope with but when the boxes did arrive they were severely damaged. Whole sides were ripped off boxes and various items were smashed, broken and damaged. We packaged everything in line with the guidance and so we are obviously extremely disappointed with this service. We took out insurance and this counts for nothing!! They do not honor the insurance claims. Come up with all sort of excuses. The latest one, to qualify for insurance I have to have PayPal invoice dated not less than 6 months ago. How is invoice or even more the software the invoice was issued with is relevant? It is not. They will simply find what you don't have and make it a mandatory requirement. “Booked and paid for online with Paypal £34,08...”

Booked and paid for online with Paypal £34,08 including insurance to help cover a guitar body at £200,00. Parcel monkey then used Parcel force who of course smashed my item and i had to refund the buyer a full £207,00. I opened a claim for compensation and am now being pushed around by Parcel monkey who have even told me they will refund my Pay pal transaction meaning i am no longer covered and they will not have to settle my claim. “Customer service is joke”

Mixed feelings about Parcelmonkey, customer service is a joke! Have used them several times, but twice they've messed up big time. They promise next-day collection and delivery services, but then couriers fail to arrive - so ends up being 'rebooked' and the delivery has ended up being three days late as result. Valuable item (fully insured) went missing. The buyer told me it hadn't arrived about a week after due delivery date. Made a claim - refused!! Why? Because you have to claim within 5 days of due delivery (huh!?). This may be acceptable if you send very occasional items and are willing to track all of them every day. PM Tracking system sends me to the Parcelforce website, which tells me that the package was collected from the Post Office on 29th August, and nothing else. The parcel was never delivered and Parcelmonkey did nothing apart from apologising. They did not even offer to fulfil their contract after I myself!!! found the parcel, which was missing. I cannot believe in this day and age that this company can get away with their unbelievable bad service. This is the second and last time I will use Parcel Monkey. Their online quote experience is good but after that the service is appalling. It was very easy to get the quote and book the collection. I had high hopes for a seamless service and full support. This lulls you into a false sense of security. Booked parcel with pm parcel force to deliver it. Parcel force had severly damaged the box and the item. PM states they cant give compansation as I didnt pay for extra cover. If item was damaged but box in tact I would take resposabillty for damage but as pictures sent to parcel monkey clearly show the box looked like it had been thrown around. I bought a 2 day delivery (international via DPD). Parcelmonkey bumped my purchase down to their (cheaper) 4-5 day delivery service. I asked for clarification and was variously palmed off by their support staff who refused to acknowledge that they had degraded my purchase to a cheaper one.
