Customer Service

Worst company experience

Took out an insurance policy. Talked with customer service ahead of time and was assured my policy would cover my prescriptions whilst abroad in the USA (I was only allowed to take 3 months with me and needed 6). This was a clear expectation made between myself and InsureWithEase. Come medication time, I followed the guidelines issued by my insurance company, calling ahead of time to make sure I was doing it correctly. A $650 bill later for my medication, I call up InsureWithEase, who promptly deny my medication costs. I'm then told hours later that I have to purchase it with my own money and to claim it back once I return back to the UK, NOT what I was told by customer service. Given one of two medications is required by a serious health condition, this was a bombshell to drop as it was outside of my budget (as this was calculated within my insurance, not budgeted outside of it). Customer service was horrendous, I was told to contact an external agency to request a medical emergency insurance coverage. Sent them all the required documentation, only to be told 'no, we can't help either'. Would never have taken out a policy if they were just honest and told me my medication wouldn't be covered, I'd have gone with a better company. Awful service, customer service clearly give false information, no support when in a medical emergency, avoid at all costs. Find a better insurance company. Nothing about InsureWithEase was easy, absolute nightmare leaving me stranded abroad without critical medications. 0 stars if I could!

I Wish I Had Never Taken This Policy Out. I Went T

I wish I had never taken this policy out. I went to Corfu and unfortunately had to seek medical treatment. This was in 2013. I have been getting letters from debt collectors ever since. I called Insure with ease and they passed me to someone else, intana, then I was passed to a company called charge care. passed around and the insurance didn't even pay all of my claim. I still have debt collectors sending me letters saying I owe £200 that my insurance wont pay.

I would avoid them and go with someone more expensive.

Procrastination A Speciality

The policy was one of the more expensive but the level of cover was good (Gold Annual Policy).

We had to cancel a holiday due to health reasons. Submitted our claim via email and then two weeks later received a letter in the post asking for copies of things we had submitted in the email.

In order to expedite matters we replied by email advising that as the booking was made via the internet the documents were electronic.

Was then advised the originals needed to be posted.

Wrote an actual letter, reiterating that all documents were electronic, but enclosed printed copies. That was about weeks ago and we have heard nothing.

A friend was travelling with us submitted a claim to her insurers with the same electronic documentation and her claim was settled two weeks ago. What is really galling is that she did an internet search and just bought the cheapest policy.

We have been holidaying 3 or sometimes 4 times a year for the last 25 years and have never made a claim. We are a little worried now as we have another holiday booked for December. It may be time to take out a policy with a company with better reviews.

In summary: A good policy with excellent levels of cover until such time as you actually need to make a claim. Best advice would be to find a cheaper policy that might actually pay out in a timely manner.

Avoid At All Costs

Appalling, shambolic excuse of a company. Claimed for all luggage following armed robbery in South Africa. 3 months on I've not been paid a penny despite being over £5,000 out of pocket. I have been fobbed off with requests for further information, most of which is absurd (e.g. Why weren't you wearing your sunglasses at the time of the robbery; it was night time!) and once it is provided they will request four weeks to consider it. Despite using a third party claims handler, they continue to threaten that they may employ yet another external investigator.

This was platinum cover and cost £100.

My fiancée paid £20 for her basic cover with another well known provider which was very sympathetic to our plight and paid out within days.

Do not touch this company! I agree with other reviews that there is something very dodgy about this outfit.

Yes, Your Not Covered" Read The Small Print"

We shipped a rescue board over from Australia which was damaged beyond repair by the airline. On contacting Insure with Ease they quoted in exclusions section E we were not covered. At the bottom of this section they have a get out clause in small print stating "other articles of a fragile nature" This covers a multitude of personal property and therefore the policy is not worth the paper it is written on. Just another rip off company claiming they will protect you if things go wrong but who tie their policy up so tight in the small print that the liklihood of you claiming against them is very slim indeed. Leaving you feeling you have handed over your money for nothing. I would never deal with this company again.

Nothing Useful Covered

Insurewithease.com cover a whopping two types of item under their "personal possessions" title- jewellery and cameras.

I lost my iphone on a trip abroad and when I looked at my policy again I saw I would only be covered up to £200 for a single item (I had thought it was a limit of £1500 due to their misleading text). I decided to ring first to check if that was the case as the value of the phone was £400 + and I did not want to send off a form and wait for a reply to come back saying I wouldn't get the full amount.

I was told on the phone to go to page 12 of the terms and conditions to view the exclusions for section E, subsection 3. Here I discovered that any mobiles, smart phones, laptops, ipads or tablets, amongst the majority of other "valuable possessions" that most people would want covered on a trip abroad, were not included in the package. I am absolutely livid. Admittedly this review is written in anger but I am so furious. I should have read the T&Cs more closely. But do not go with this company- it is pointless.

Avoid. Unprofessional. Cannot Trust Them.

I made a small claim for delayed flight leading to missed connection and small lost bag.

It has been ten months since my claim. They cannot be bothered to reply to emails. The staff say they forward them on to the department concerned. Do not trust them. Insurance is important and something is not right with this company. several names. Insure with ease/Leisure1 Ancile Insurance.

I would not use them again.

Daylight Robbery

I agree with the previous reviewer - DO NOT USE THIS INSURER! We paid £55 for our travel insurance for one week in Ibiza. Our bag was stolen and we claimed for about £90 in cash and £80 in property. The payout: £2.71 for each. There was no explanation of why the two amounts were the same. The property was subject to wear and tear - even the bag which was purchased the day before and cost more than the payout - but this cannot have been the case with the cash.

We would have been much better off without the policy. In addition to the £55 we paid for the policy, we bought tickets to the nearest city to report our loss and obtain a police report, paid for international calls to speak to Staysure and received only £5.42 in return.

All in all, we were robbed twice.

Made A Claim As Our Flight Was Delayed, Meaning We

Made a claim as our flight was delayed, meaning we missed a connection. And then had to be put up overnight until seats were available 24hrs later.

Initial our claim was turned down and I received some technical jibberish (not delayed 24hrs as the plane was only 4hrs delayed).

However, I wrote a polite letter back with the logical facts - ie landing 24hrs after expected and therefore was insane to suggest otherwise, and received a cheque with all we were entitled to.

Insurance cost £45, and we had received a cheque for £60 within the first month.

Initial not great considering they seem to turn down anything, but if you invest some time to reply, they will pay out.

Do Not Use! I Went Away To The Philippi

DO NOT USE!

I went away to the Philippines for 2 weeks and I had to claim for several things. The first flight back was cancelled and there were no more available seats anywhere else so I missed my next 2 connections. I needed to claim for another hotel for the night and also to change the next two flights (the airline of course paid for the first one) which altogether was about £200. I paid £50 for the best insurance they had to offer and they have given me £30! I had all the correct documentation from the airline but they say it's not covered! Which magazine recommended? Really?

My baggage was delayed for over 24 hours when we arrived so we only had what we were standing in and a few other clothing items. We were only in that partcular area for a day and we had a hiking trip booked and paid for the next day. In order to go on it we had to buy extra clothes, sun tan lotion etc. We didn't spend a lot, but they still wouldn't pay out.

They have offered no explanation in the letter, I had to call them and they say it just isn't covered, end of!
