“Shocking Service”

The way my case was handled was appalling, staff were not responsive, no response was provided to my e-mails and phone calls, no proper quotation was provided, it was just a shocking experience for me. I never knew people could be so irresponsible and I think Stratstone branch is letting the brand name down

“Awful!! Avoid!!”

Absolutely awful experience with this branch. A whole catalogue of issues when I purchased my vehicle. They did not handle my complaint properly at all. Issues included a new dent appeared on the car on the day of collection, a wasted trip from Essex to Derby thereafter, as well an incorrect invoice which they never rectified. Took me months to get any response at all. Try calling them is a joke. Head of Business was utterly useless. Arrogant and rude. Avoid buying from here!!!! I have since dealt with another branch and told them about my shocking experience at the Derby store. They were not surprised!

“Great service ”

“No valet on a second hand car”

So you purchase a 3 year old bmw from a so called premium dealer you expect it to be valeted? Not here, shift them in and out, filthy inside and 49 pro plus in the glove box. Terrible service, ignore you when you complain. Won’t be going back. The snooty type

“Poor service”

Sent my car in for a check because of radio problem. I've booked the pick up and delivery service where they will pick up my car and sent to garage, and sent it back to me when done. Not only they were 2 hours late picking up, the radio was not fixed. They also promised cleaning the car inside out, but that was not done. To top it off, they returned the car with the handbrake was off. Luckily the car didn't even roll down the driveway!

“Be very careful here now ”

This dealership now is just after hitting targets. They will promise you everything but once got your money you will do well if you can get in contact with used car sales team or there managers which are also a waist of time especially the person I dealt with! They sell cars with problems and then try to get warranty to pay and now there getting wise to this, you will be told sorry on this occasion there is nothing they can do as it met there standards which you can not find and they will not tell you. Read the many many bad reviews and do your self a big favour and go elsewhere. Not be long before BMW shut this place down..! You have been warned !

“Appalling Customer Service”

Only giving one star as there is no option for zero stars. Drove all the way from Manchester to test drive a specific BMW X1 that had been arranged with a sales consultant. The Consultant was not there when we arrived. When he finally showed up we advised that the car was not on site, but was with a colleague and they would bring it to the dealership. After waiting further, we were advised that the car was actually in Birmingham and would be unavailable for test drive as previously agreed. A complete was of time and money. Will never deal with Stratstone again

“Beware! They sell cars with faults!”

I bought one 5 series failed 3 miles down the road Then after many dealer visits bmw stratstone 'kindly ' offered to change my car I was unaware they added another 2 grand on top of my original 2 grand negative equity loan doubling payments and selling me another car which has also failed 4 times at 26000miles! Even tho the car was faulty on day one they tricked me into taking a more expensive deal I e had nothing but trouble- and the staff turnaround is so fast you never can keep up who dealing with you and never get responses to emails as staff are always leaving! Something is not right! Beware! Buy from the barons group much much better and best customer service

“JUST PLAIN RUDE”

Went to BMW today as I am a student doing my dissation on aftersale services provided in the premium car sector. I was greeted by reception who I made clear to that all I would like is some pictures of the showroom/offices and brochures to quote as I didn't want to take up a sales person's time. The receptionist disappeared to ask someone to come back and tell me no but look online- the reason I drove into Derby was because I have looked online and it wasn't good enough or unclear! I am a student the first thing we do is online!!! I wouldn't have minded if it was busy but based on the fact it was 16:20 and 4 people ask me if I was okay made it clear you weren't.

“Good quality service”

Made an appt. to service my car. They followed this up with a confirmation text for 9.30am appt. Arrived at 8am due to possible traffic problems. Met by a nice bubbly receptionist who made me a cup of coffee. Met a lady in service, who was very efficient and professional, new 218i courtesy car was waiting for me, away by approx. 8.30am. Given 5pm time for car to be ready. Telephoned 3pm to see if car was ready which was still being serviced, decided to beat the rush and arrived early at approx. 4pm and as I walked through the door, I was greeted with a "car is now ready". So, all in all a good experience, hence the 5 stars

“135i lci”

Pick up a new 135i in July 2015 stratstone was very rude to me in all my time car was delayed 3 times to get hold of a salesman was a nightmare pick the car up got it home to fine3 dents on the back panel rang Derby stratstone said will ring back I rang again and again No answer no one rang me back in the end I had to pay £200 to remove the dents STRATSTONE Derby shame on you

“Non existent aftersales service!”

We travelled 200 miles for our car. They were very efficient in taking our money & getting rid of us quickly. So much so on checking our paperwork later we found the service history was not included. 3 months on, we are still without a full service history despite numerous phone calls & many empty promises to send it with some complimentary car mats which they were surprised were not in the car already! Finally a handbook arrived in the post when I asked for courier details & tracking number but still no service history or promised car mats. I would not recommend anyone buying from this showroom as any problems later, they will not want to know!

“Utterly disappointing!”

Totally disappointed with what we have encountered today! Those staff did not respect the fact that we were the one who viewed the car first and we have the right to say yes or no first! It should be first come fist serve basis! Will never step in there- Stratstone Derby- anymore! 2 potential buyers- we were 1 of them but we were the first pair to test drive the car, while we we're discussing financing, service history,part exchange all these business..and just before we say 'yes we would like to put deposit down for the car please' .. another pair of potential buyer decided to pay the deposit. the manager came right to us and explained, along the line it came " I choose to upset you!' Eh..what did you say?! Right.. What to say more? Let me also explain..Another sales rep who dealt with the other pair of customer was incredibly rude! He wanted his customer to test drive the car, but the keys were with our sales rep..he demanded our sales rep to hand over the key?! Not asking politely but demanding him to do so by saying 'I want your key' in a very rude and aggressive way! He soon found out that we still have our car seat inside the car, he was getting irritated and came to say 'get your car seat out?' No 'please'? Where is your manners sir? May I also say, do you think you can treat us like what you did just because we are not White?! Seriously?

“Never order a brochure from here!! You will be harassed!”

I ordered a brochure excited about choosing a new car. However I found myself harassed with phone calls, voicemails and emails. They seem desperate to me. Certainly not like the service Mercedes derby offers.

They lied to me too. The car I bought has had no end of problems, has a dodgy service history and Stratstone don't want to know. DO NOT buy from them.

Stratstone BMW Derby - Well what can I say, they tell you that they are the best and you will get the ultimate experiance and their service is second to none. How very far from the truth that really is. If you do find a car you like they will welcome you to sit down in their customer lounge and then you will need to cancel your schedule for the rest of the day as you will find the sales team very preoccupied shuffling papers from one side of the desk to the other and back again, after some time they will come to your assistance and ask you lots of questions, vetting you before they let you anywhere near a car. Once you have checked out you then return to the customer lounge for another wait as you can never get enough of those, finally you will get a test drive of the car which in all due respect is erry good and you do get a good 30 min drive (wow) you are then returned for another wait (yippee). If you then decide to go ahead and buy the car you will then spend the next four hours filling out paperwork and doing other time wasting activities to pass the time.

You wil then agree a delivery date and you will need to visit then at least once before the delivery date to confirm your details and complete the final checks remembering you will be invited for their complementary wait in their lounge first. They tell you on delivery day it should take no longer than 45 mins, 3 hours later you finally drive away. Turely a ultimate experience but the experience does not finish there. Should you have any problems after delivery and you have to call them reception will take a message and tell you they call you back, which after 12 calls later and never getting a return call you end up going back in person for another complementary wait to resolve your issue.

After additional waits I have given up with them and I will never go anywhere near them again.

My personal recommendation is for the ultimate exproance go somewhere else.

Completely agree with this! We travelled 200 miles to collect our car with a 5 month old baby. We stayed in a hotel the night before we were due to collect the car. On the morning we were going to the garage we were told there had been a flood in the showroom and that we would have to wait 3 hours. When we got to the garage we had to hang around for another 2 hours. When we eventually got our car the seats had clearly just been shampooed and we had to drive 200 miles home on wet seats. We have since found out that they lied about the Service History. I would not touch this company with a barge pole ever again!

Stratstone BMW were brilliant when I bought my BMW 318. I have always wanted a BMW 3 series, but new ones can be so expensive and I didnt want to spend loads.
I arranged my car loan through Stratstone BMW and they were very helpful, talking me through the process and answering my questions.
